In summary

Krendale Golf Club is appreciated for its interesting layout and challenging holes, with some reviewers highlighting its scenic par threes and friendly staff. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the condition of fairways, outdated carts, and inadequate signage. While some find the pricing reasonable, others feel it is high given the course's current state.

This course both excited and really disappointed me….which is a shame. The layout of the course is fantastic, challenging holes, risk reward, beauty,, friendly pro shop, etc. It has 2 par threes that are among the most beautiful holes I’ve ever golfed at, but so many negatives. 1 - course is not well maintained….cannot tell where the fairways end and the rough begins. 2 - Cart paths are the worst I’ve ever been on…Nothing was paved, just gravel or none at all….felt like we were off roading. 3 - Carts were old. In fact, we had to switch after 9 because the hill brake didn’t work on our cart and…

Terrible customer service. I simply asked if I could be 17 an rent a golf cart and he started getting mad at me for it, and told me to go somewhere else and then hung up. The other times I’ve been there I’ve had no such problem. Not sure if it’s a new worker or not, either way he should not be working there.

Where to start…. Oldest and worst carts I ever saw No 100/150/200 yard markings No dedicated cart paths and what there is are horribly rough. No arrow signs to find the next tee Fairways 90% crabgrass. No hole depictions and cheap score cards. Tee boxes make no sense. Never found the tee box for hole 8 South. Overall terrible experience. Please someone with money who loves golf please buy this place and turn it in to a gem because the potential is there.

18 hole course that seems to be on its last legs. The greens are fine, but the tees and fairways are in poor shape. Clubhouse is nice. Staff is nice. Carts are okay. If it was better maintained it would be a good course. Some odd holes. Hilly and lots of trees. Some water. Worth a try, but not a great experience.

Played the course on 8/3/24- not advised by the golf shop that the golf course was FLOODED with every part of the course under water. The course should have been closed with the amount of water everywhere (Tee boxes, fairways, roughs and greens). The course needs a lot of work to make it nice (the entire course needs a lot of TLC). It’s a shame as it has a nice layout. *** response to the reply from owner: that is even more reason to close the course or advise your paying customers of the conditions that do not live in the area.

Played course Nov 16th and the tee boxes and fairways were like playing the deep rough. Could not find our balls even when hitting the fairways. Could be a very great course if it was maintained. Hope the owner will put some time into making it playable again

Oddly this is one of my courses to play because the way it’s designed. Not too many courses around that have a couple island greens. I think it’s a fun course to play The negatives. The course usually isn’t in great shape so if you’re used to playing on real nice courses you’d hate it here. It was like $28-30 for 18 holes on weekends however they bumped it up to $40 which I think is too much considering the course isn’t in great shape usually

I have lived in Butler for about 3 years now and I have to say this is one of my favorite courses for the money! I have played everywhere and for this being a family owned course I have to say this is one of the better well kept courses. It’s great for beginners but don’t let that fool you, you can still find yourself in trouble on this course. The people are always friendly and it’s very walking friendly. Overall I rate my past experiences a 5/5 stars just due to rain or shine this course has always been in great condition!

Good front 9 holes. Competitive. Absolutely terrible back 9. Weirdly designed back 9 with holes smashed into less than 400 yard par 4s with water and other hazards all over the place. Almost no fairway to play with and in poor shape. Greens however are in good shape. Would choose another course in the area instead of going back.

This used to be a nice course. The greens are still good, fairways have almost no grass. Fairways need plugged and seeded. Bunkers are rocks and mud. Sad to see it in such bad shape. The final criticism which was laughable was the gold tees on all 5 par 3's were put less than 70 yards from the greens! This ruined the holes-- pitch and putt. We will not go back.

Horrible carts, bags fall off, broke a club. People who do not understand golf play here, would not recommend to anyone. I can now see why it is dead as it is here and half the place has been let go or abandoned. A sad course.

Great if you like mud and spending more time looking for the tee boxes than your ball.
