What People Say

In summary

Keystone Ranch Golf Course is highly praised for its stunning mountain views, well-maintained greens, and challenging layout that appeals to both casual and avid golfers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the overall quality of the golfing experience, with many highlighting the breathtaking scenery and wildlife encounters as standout features. However, some guests have reported issues with management, slow pace of play, and service at the bar, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

Started our play at 353 pm, got 15 holes in before dark. Had a great time, play was a tad slow but for the views it was worth it. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in great condition. Would go back when we are in the area!

If you can try to get a tee time later in the afternoon so you can see the sun set. It’s so beautiful. Well kept course and worth I drive from the Denver area.

Only the River Course has been open so far this season. The Ranch Course remains closed due to COVID and probably an anticipated downturn in visiting golfers and possibly a shortage in available carts and staff. A shortage of visitors doesn’t seem to be the case. All tee times seem to fill up daily. Pace of play has been slow some days. Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in nice condition. The roughs are rough. The front nine par threes are as tough as ever. The slope up to the 17th green has fully recovered from the shrinkage of the monster bunker. This course was amazing and a ton of value $165. I only gave it four, because I had to save the 5 stars for their River course. This ranch course by all means us gorgeous. I feel it sets up more for the avid golfer as oppose to the river course which had the best views on a course I have ever seen. They offer a golf all day rate where you can play both courses as many times as you can fit in for the day. If you're in Vail it's worth the extra 10 minutes it takes to get to keystone rather than the 25 minutes it takes to get to the popular courses west of vail.

This course is a must play! Keystone Ranch course looks like it should be played on the tour, specifically the back 9. Tricky shots to keep you dialed in all round. Beautiful and true greens with endless postcard views.

Beautiful course in the mountains. The golfing was top notch. The service/management was horrible and deserves better. 1. You pay to use the range. They had it closed off. No apologies, no reimbursement, nothing in return. Just a simple, “get over it” response. 2. The bar was closed off. Couldn’t get a drink/Gatorade/anything to drink in the middle of summer. Cart girl was out and we found her hole 6 thankfully. (18 hole course, 1 cart girl - she was great, not her fault). Again, no apologies, no thoughtfulness - just a “get over it, screw off” attitude. I’m an understanding person and a si…

This course is definitely more for the average player or someone who is playing for the relaxation and scenery. If you're an avid, serious golfer I'd recommend going somewhere else. But I enjoyed my experience there. It's beautiful and we enjoyed playing several rounds out there.

These courses were amazing. We played 36 with a group of 16 and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The course was packed but things moved quick and everything was on pace. The staff were getting bags and carts arranged as quickly as possible. The restaurant staff were quick to get out orders out before the round and at the turn. Some of the best views and golf I’ve experienced.

Played River course on June 15 and Ranch course on June 16. Amazing scenery and the courses are in great shape. The greens are consistently fast and smooth…some of the best conditioned greens I’ve played on in recent memory. Everyone was nice. Bloody Mary’s good. Used the Avid Golfer Passport and paid $85. Best deal in Colorado.

Great views and very enjoyable golf course. The combination of the high altitude and strong winds made it extremely difficult. I’d definitely go back

Great course, amazing views and wildlife. Elevation changes, difficult greens and perfect mountain setting for a round of golf.
