In summary

Joseph C. Martin Golf Course is appreciated for its welcoming atmosphere, particularly for beginners and families, with a layout that accommodates all skill levels. The course is noted for its improvements over the years, friendly staff, and military-friendly policies. However, some visitors express concerns about inconsistent pricing, slow pace of play due to beginners, and maintenance issues on the greens and fairways.

Great place for a quick 9 to keep the swing loose. Management has done a ton with this course since I was a kid. Friendly staff.

J.C. Martin golf course is the best course in town for families, and younger players. The course is, and always has been, the perfect course for young players. Also, this course is EXTREMELY military friendly. They have the best Military discount in town. For the more experienced player, the greens have a ton of slopes which make the game a little more fun.

The course has improved since I first posted a review five years ago. Greens crew is going a great job and clubhouse staff is very accommodating. You still get a large number of beginner golfers, so, depending when you go, you just have to expect slower play, but the course design is really suitable to all levels of play. Plus, I love the location.

Can't go wrong here. Very relaxed course, a quick 9 to make you feel good about yourself. Would highly recommend for those new to the sport. In fact, it was the first course I played at, and it got me hooked!

If I could give JC Martin Golf Course zero stars, I would. This place is a disaster in every possible way. First off, the condition of the course is abysmal. The fairways are a mix of dirt patches and weeds, and the greens are so poorly maintained that putting feels like a game of roulette. Some holes are nearly unplayable due to thick grass and rocks. The layout is equally frustrating. The holes are cramped and poorly designed, with little thought given to flow. You often find yourself standing on a tee box wondering if you’re even on the right hole. Service? Don’t even get me started. The…

Played here on a wet day in June. This course had spectacular views and I would say represents the state of PN well. Holes tend to go from longest to shortest. The first par 5 is a challenge as it is up hill about 500 yards. Then after that the holes get progressively shorter. You are still looking at mostly 200 yard plus holes though which for me is driver. Course was in decent shape and provided a reasonable challenge. I would be back.

Used to go here all the time when I started out a few years back. Isn't the same anymore... prices never seem consistent, my mother doesnt golf but loves to just get out of the house and spend time with me on the course but they do not allow anyone to just ride along in the cart... even though people from surrounding neighborhoods are welcome to just come and go freely to take their daily walks where people spent money to enjoy an activity. Makes no sense. Its a great starter course, just seems to be mismanaged.

Nice nine-hole municipal course. Reasonably priced and easy to walk. They do a good job maintaining the course and while it may not challenge the scratch golfer it provides plenty of value for the average duffer.

I'm 2 months into starting to golf and JC Martin is where I feel most comfortable at. A great environment filled with a good age and skill mix where you don't feel rushed. Went by myself for the 1st time and had to take time to take it all in. Every hole offers a different challenge. The front desk was great and helpful!
