In summary

Franklin Valley Golf Course is appreciated for its enjoyable layout, friendly staff, and affordable pricing, with many noting improvements in course conditions and amenities like stocked pro shops and new carts. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent maintenance, particularly regarding tee boxes and fairways, and occasional slow play due to high traffic. Despite these issues, the course remains a popular choice for its value and overall golfing experience.

Course set up was nice and golf cart had a club head rinser which was a good addition, however, the condition of the course was pretty bad. The tee boxes had really high grass and was not mowed. The fairway grass was long and patchy. The greens were all in similar conditions. Unfortunately, The local clientele doesn’t help any because nobody fixes their ball marks on the greens.

Really fun course. Greens tend to be a little slow and some of the tee boxes could use some TLC, but nothing out of the ordinary for courses in their price range. All of the par 3's and par 5's are cool holes. I definitely recommend this course to others.

Played here since I was a kid - and the course is in decent shape for the time of year and all the rain we’ve had. New management has the course buzzing. Staff is friendly, pro shop is stocked, even with some nice clubs. New carts are awesome.👏🏼

Course has made major improvements over the past few years. Greens are rolling really good and the layout of the course is quite nice. Staff is great and would totally recommend!

It was a fun course to play certainly value for the cost. The clubhouse and staff were very nice. The tea boxes were certainly needing some attention. I would play this course again.

Nice course with fairly good greens. Layout is same as always has been but the trees are finally growing tall and it adds to this course tremendously! Price is very fair but girl behind counter needs to learn some "bedside manner". She was not friendly at all. Need better help but that's only bad I can complain about.

Great staff and course for the money. Always accomodating to me and my buddies/kids depending on the day -just call ahead, not necessarily for a tee time, but to avoid leagues and mowing. The weekends can get a little congested, but the course is in great shape and fun to play.

This is an edit of an earlier review. Stopped by today just to see how things looked since I haven't been there in years. Driving by I could see a few holes. Fairways looked horrible. Drove down along number 1 and 2, same thing. Grass was yellowish, almost dead looking. Looking out from the clubhouse it just looked bad. The greens still looked good though. As I was leaving I saw a twosome coming down #6. Both had cutoff shirts so that aspect hasn't changed either. Why is this allowed? I'm not a pro or anything but that is just ridiculous. Apparently as long as they get their $$ they don't care…

I didn't get to play but I drove around a bit and wished I had time! Looked like a really nice layout and it was in great shape for the time of year. Looking forward to having time to play next time I'm around!

I have been playing here for 30-some years. My brother in law and I finally got to play there this year (we held off due to COVID-19). I live up north near Marion, and I always looked forward to playing here. Well, we played Friday, and I am shocked at how far this course has fallen since last fall! There is no fairway cut - every par 4 and 5 has one cut that is identical. The fairway is the same as the first and second cut! You are NOT rewarded for a good tee shot. The tee boxes are full of weeds or bare. #18 green has at least 10 bare spots, each the size of a sofa. The others are not as bad…
