In summary

Cliffside Golf Course receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating its scenic views, especially on the back nine, and the friendly staff. However, many criticize the course's condition, citing overgrown fairways, poor greens, and inadequate maintenance. Additionally, there are frequent complaints about the owner's demeanor and the handling of certain on-course policies.

Course is fine it does not deserve all the the hate I have been hearing about it, workers are very nice and the course is in good enough condition to enjoy

This course would be great if they could tend it better. Hitting out of fairways is like hitting out of rough. If you do hit in the rough you might as well forget that ball and take a drop. You spend most of your time here looking for ball out of rough then playing golf. They use to have beautiful white sand bunkers but now they are grass bunkers. Some of the people in the club house are very rude. Greens are dry rotten. Don’t go after rain the place floods. And be careful on back nine cart paths. Very steep. If the cart paths are wet hang on for dear life.

Overgrown and overpriced. Staff is usually really nice that’s the only reason they got two stars instead of one. The owner is not as nice as his staff. Leave your putter at home, the greens are the worst I’ve ever seen. Bring extra balls because the fairways are so overgrown it’s like searching through the rough

Me and a friend made trip of a hour to play this course. We paid for 18 holes. After the front 9 we stopped and Chelsea served us a beer that we enjoyed on the turn with great service. A single beverage. The group in front of us only played 9 holes so assumed a quick pit stop was not out of line. We finished our single beverage and proceeded to tee off on hole 10. We were told about a money game and to be aware of tags on the green. We teed off and proceeded to our second shots. We were stopped by a short complex overweight man and was told that we were not allowed to stop on the turn and shou…

What was one of the nicest courses in Southern Ohio has turned into an absolute dump. First of all, the owner is a horrible person! He yelled at my 8 year old son because he chipped on the putting green before we payed. I was on my way in the clubhouse! As for the course, I’ve seen cornfields in better condition. The greens are the slowest and bumpiest I have ever putted on, bunkers? There are none. Tee boxes? 1 inch high. Truly one of the most pathetic golf courses I have ever seen and do NOT even think about playing this course.

Pretty basic course with the only memorable holes being the ones along the hillside (14 thru 18). Greens were really nice for November. No complaints, course is just a little too plain to warrant five stars.

Was enjoying a round with a friend of mine, finished up 9 and then stopped in for a beer, and the service inside was excellent. We tee off 10, and this guy drives up and says we are interrupting a “money game” with our twosome in the most, pardon my take on it, but most douchey and little man flexing syndrome way I’ve ever seen. He said “can’t stop at the turn for a beer, gotta keep going” like that’s something that’s a rule anywhere but here.We weren’t in anyone’s way nor were we warned, but we were treated as if the money we paid wasn’t valued. We asked for our money back and they said they…

Nice course. Enjoyed a winter round. On the last few holes, you have to be careful on the greens because it's easy to roll off. That just introduces a challenge. I'll go back.

Challenging, enjoyable and beautiful course. It could use some upkeep but is still great if you're not a golf snob. Very Friendly Staff!

Ugh.... where to begin???? This place is a dump. Grass on the fairways is 5” long. The “rough” is a forest. The tee boxes will sprain your ankles. And, don’t worry about bringing a putter because the greens are non-existent. Ghetto golf at best. What a shame.
