Played Maple 9 in the evening. Overall, good 9-hole course for all levels. Conditions in the fairways and greens were great all things considered.

One of CLE Golf properties. $95 weekend rate for a course with amazing bones but poor execution. See video of turf conditions on fairways of some holes. Many details unkempt. Greens rolled well. Couldn’t hit balls on range in morning. Very rude ranger said range was closed without explanation. $95 for a round and can’t warm up.

Nice course in pretty great condition. Pretty challenging and interesting layout. Nice scenery with no houses in sight. Nice clubhouse. Has 3 different 9 hole courses (Lakes, River and Maple), so if you play often you can do different combinations and mix it up. If only coming once...go for Lakes and River. Enjoyable round of golf...come back very often.

Last time I came here (96), the course was very young but still tough and beautiful. It had a double wide trailer for a club house. Now it has a beautiful clubhouse and the course is still tough as can be. Greens were fast but did hold. Rough was lush but not overbearing. Most of the bunkers were in great shape and sand was still good quality bunker sand. I did notice that some of the fairway bunkers were unkept, I'm guessing either letting them grow over or turning them into waste bunkers? There were a ton of trees that were down from the recent tornado that went through. This did open up a c…

Pete's layout is incredible and absolutely diabolical. You need to hit very precise shots to hit greens but even then the green complexes are a challenge in their own right. The scenery is excellent and the course is very picturesque. The greens were absolutely in perfect shape. Literally some of the best I’ve ever played on. That’s where the good ends… First, let me preface any further comments by saying that I understand that they just had a HUGE storm blow through that took out hundreds of trees a couple days ago. And I gotta give props to the staff for the massive clean up job they did t…

Have not played here in several years. The maintenance and upkeep is lacking. The course is not in the pristine condition it use to be in. The greens were in great shape. The general condition for lack of more precise terms is over grown. Disappointed to see that the railroad ties around the lake were rotted away and taken over by reeds along the shoreline. Don’t get me wrong as it was not awful, it was lacking needed attention as it no longer has that crisp and manicured look. The staff was friendly.

The course's layout is great but the course maintenance is awful. When the green fees are $90 a round the course should have no issues keeping this course in top condition. Under current conditions this course is worth $60 a round max. Pic is from the 9th fairway and this was not the only fairway with this kind of problem. They need to reevaluate their pricing or use the money they are currently gouging their patrons for and invest it in fixing up the course.

Honestly, I wish I could go lower than one star. The course itself is ok at best. My biggest issue is the management, however. They have fraudulently taken hundreds of dollars from me over the past 4 months under the guise of "software issues". I have not played at this course since June, yet my card routinely gets charged every single month for a membership that I canceled on July 1. After a handful of phone calls with junior pro shop employees who couldn't do anything but pass on a message, I finally spoke to a manager. His excuse? Software. That's right, I am out hundreds of dollars because…

Perhaps the best surprise of my Summer and Fall tour of the Midwest. I reviewed this top rated Donald Ross Cleveland Municipal GC on an October afternoon when only ten rounds were played From the turbo like tug of the new golf carts, and into the Audubon Society recognized "Lake" 9, Fowler's Mill is filled with shot making thrills and places a premium on middle irons to neatly groomed greens. The second shots into the par fours can be between two hundred (200) and one hundred sixty five (165) yards. The Sixth is the #1 Handicap Hole and plays longer than irs 438 yards from the Gold tees . I…

Fowler's Mill is a great layout, but they have lacked maintenance ability for years. To charge $85 to golf and the greens look like the attached pictures, come on. It's not worth the price they think it is. If the course got their maintenance under control it'd be a great track again.

A true gem! This course has clearly benefited from meticulous care, as every blade of grass felt intentionally placed. The design offers a wonderful mix of strategic challenges and satisfying birdie opportunities. It’s the kind of course where you’re just as likely to be admiring the scenery as you are to be cursing a bad chip shot. A thoroughly enjoyable round and a must-play for any golfer in the area.

Challenging course and enjoyed it overall That is why I gave it 4 stars but it needs manicured-more - too many weeds on tee box area and along the streams and paths ( would look so much better if trimmed down) and railroad ties and cart paths need work . Interesting layout but expected more attention to detail . Sand bunkers need some work in areas, no sand in sand jugs on carts to repair divots , snack bar was lacking in food . Man running snack bar seemed bothered we wanted drafts but out and said we dont have the help today - I had mentioned no soap in restroom and that was a waste of time…
