In summary

Fernbank Golf Course is praised for its friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and affordable pricing, making it a popular choice for both local golfers and visitors. The course is noted for its unique layout, which includes crossing fairways and a mix of challenging and forgiving holes, though some find the design confusing and the conditions inconsistent. Additionally, the venue hosts enjoyable events like summer concerts and offers a variety of tasty food options, enhancing the overall experience despite some criticisms of the course's maintenance.

Enjoyed the music at the summer concert series. A very scenic setting for an evening of live music.

We had the fried shrimp, fish sandwich & we tried all the sides! So good. The green beans had a little kick to them (which we enjoyed). The Mac & Cheese was good! Fries were perfect. We got ours to-go but will definitely be back to sit outside on a beautiful night. Pictured below is the fish sandwich & shrimp basket. I didn't get a picture of the green beans.

I’m sure at some point throughout the year the course might be in decent shape….but not today. Tee boxes are beat up, mostly mud/dirt and the greens are nothing but sand…absolute garbage. The layout of the course is super confusing, sharing fairways, greens next to each other….the architect must have been half drunk when he designed it. All in all….I seriously can’t believe they charge you to play golf there.

Great little 9hole course in Sayler Park. Friendly staff, easy to walk, lot of iron work. It has two 350+ drives but you really don't use a driver at any point. A lot of crossing other holes so be aware of your surroundings.

Value went down as did course conditions. Course used to be in good shape and decent pricing. Played 2x in last year and wont be going back. I was hoping the 2 time would have been better, and it was not! Aston Oaks flex pricing at certain times is only $36. Much better course and value. Even Neumanns pricing is a better deal. 9 hole cross fairway flat course should reconsider price points.

The weekly summer concerts on Friday nights make for a great relaxing night out. Bring chairs or get there early to snag a picnic table. Nice burgers, wraps and mets and brats, and adult beverages at reasonable prices. The spicy chicken sandwich is indeed spicy 🔥 without going over the top and being inedible. No fries, but the Grippo chips come with the sandwiches from the clubhouse.

One of the best deals in the city. Par three price, but you get to pull your driver out several times. Good food and friendly atmosphere. Just be sure to study the hole layout before heading out because several fairways cross. Lots of regulars, and everyone is courteous though, so it isn't a big deal.

Play here every weekend. Fairways and greens are okay could use work but for the price and it's not usually busy so play at your own speed. Workers are nice and helpful carts are clean cant really complain. Good small 9 hole course.
