Fairview Municipal Golf Club

Beautiful golf course nestled in the city of Caldwell, ID. As a trucker took the opportunity to play, hoping that the Golf Club would have rental golf set. Though the Club does not have rental sets, the Pro was super nice and I got a fantastic deal on used clubs. Enjoyed playing 9 holes on a beautiful sunny day. Grateful for these lifelong memories. Well maintained, walkable and very affordable Golf Course. Thanks to all who help to provide this service to the community and visitors.🙏

I just started golfing but have friends that have been playing for years, they've all been very impressed with the quality of this 9 hole course. It's very affordable for beginners like myself to continue to come back to and work on my swings. The staff is very cool by the way as well. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone

If you're looking for an affordable round of golf in Caldwell, Fairview Golf Course is about as budget-friendly as it gets. For just $15 you get access to 9 holes and if you're up for a full 18 you can go around again. The course is not in great condition itself with some very patchy greens but that is what you get for a 15$ green fee. What Fairview lacks in polish, it makes up for in accessibility and price. The course is perfect for beginners with no sand traps, water hazards and no roughs... That being said the staff will drive new golfers away from the sport. I've been golfing since I was a kid and I wanted to introduce my wife to the sport and after a few times at the range I wanted to take her to play a round. I usually walk but since it was a Saturday morning I rented a cart so that we wouldn't slow anyone down and we allowed people to play through because how would a new golfer know if they are getting better over time if you constantly pick up your ball and move on to the next hole. Miss the $9 for 9 holes days not so long ago. But, COVID, the West Coast Invasion and city hall greed has changed all that. But still overall, a decent municipal course, with some great guys working there.

Doesn’t state anywhere on the website that you can’t bring children under 6. Me and the wife wanted to play 9 together as she’s learning golf and we have to bring our child since we don’t have a babysitter. Got kicked out on the 3rd hole and was told we could get a refund. Then got to the clubhouse and was told they can’t do cash refunds and gave us a voucher that we can’t use anyway since we’d have to bring our child. On top of that the greens were covered in sand and unplayable with no warning or postings to let golfers know beforehand.

Hands down, best opportunity to play 9 holes on a course as a true beginner. I really enjoyed the layout and the lack of hills, sand, and trees. All of those comprise and add to the challenge for the game of golf, but are daunting for someone as new as me. Also, annual membership fee was quoted just over $400. Check in w/ the staff to see if this changes, but to have green fees taken care of and be able to walk on and play away is great. Will be back to gain more confidence in my swing and play on a course that will ease me into the game.

Nice little 9 hole course. It's a fun walk, the course is in great shape, the greens are soft and medium speed. It was a fun little surprise!

Always had a good experience at this course but this summer for some reason the “manager” has ruined it for me. He doesn’t make you feel welcome at all and has an attitude that makes you feel like you need to leave. As I was about to pay, there were people who were regulars in front of me and he gave them free carts because he knew them. All summer he closes the course whenever he wants to go home. Course is short, it is in great shape. The price is great especially for seniors. First time playing. Its nice you can walk on, dont have to secure a t-time. I enjoyed it. Will definitely play again.

Came from out of town to take father to play golf. Due to age and disability he doesn’t play but loves to be out on the golf cart. After signing in and paying, we were told that we wouldn’t be allowed to play because we had a 5 year old with us. I completely understood and asked for a refund and was told the city doesn’t allow them to give refunds. The clubhouse attendant claimed the age rule was posted on the door but couldn’t show us where and we couldn’t find it. After checking the website the rule isn’t posted anywhere.
