In summary

Dogwood Knolls Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability and the convenience of playing without needing a tee time, making it a popular choice for casual golfers and those looking to practice. The course offers a straightforward layout with well-maintained greens, though some visitors find the fairways and tee boxes in need of improvement. While many find the staff friendly, others have reported negative experiences with customer service and issues with the condition of the golf carts.

Horrible course not well kept at all, tee boxes are awful, fairways feel like playing in your backyard, and the greens have patches of dirt on them. Carts feel like they’re about to break down and are torn apart. Parking breaks do not work. Very rude staff and unprofessional environment, no communication skills whatsoever. Never coming back here again, for your own good don’t waste your time and money here.

Nice to get on early and get off the course before lunch it's a course that they maintain with the money that they make from it reasonably priced for the condition of the course. double nine with different t's if you wanted to play in 18. People that usually go to that course are pretty nice and will let a single play ahead of them most of the time. no tea times. And to be completely honest for the price I love this course. Not to mention there's also a good amount of par fours and par fives on the course.

This course may not be on DeChambeau's break 50 list but it's still a great place to play bang for your buck! Hassle free golfing, no tee times, open year round and the staff is great ! Have a beer and a bite to eat..play a quick 9 or 18!

Unfortunately, this is the worst golf course I have ever been to. The tee boxes are mostly dirt patches with very little grass. The “fairways” are slightly better but still in very rough shape all year round. Most of the carts take a good 10 seconds to start up every time you press the gas and the parking brakes do not work. The greens are the only part of the course that is somewhat decent. The staff is very rude and they allow multiple groups of 6 people out at once so it causes huge backups. The prices are fairly cheap yet I still felt like I overpaid for the conditions of the course. Th…

Beware, the very rude staff will attempt to hold your driver’s license hostage for the duration of your round if you want to use a cart here. Never heard of a course wanting to steal your property in order to play golf.

I have enjoyed playing this course in the past, however my last round played here ended on a sour note. The owner approached our group on hole 6 and was very rude about our pace of play even though we were the last group for the day. He cursed at us and used a very disrespectful tone of voice and made our newcomer feel very uncomfortable. We will never be returning to this course for the sole reason of how rude the staff was.

This is a great local place to go. It's right on one of the local main roads and it's a beautiful place. There are a lot of nearby places to visit before or after. The staff are nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely return when I can. I'm a duffer so I cant really speak to the quality of the course.

Definitely a boys club. Greens were good, fairways rough, tee boxes bad. Especially several of the red tees. Women’s tees are an afterthought. Golf carts absolutely horrendous... bad brakes, hard to start. Staff did not want to hear complaints about the carts. Bar had no social distancing.. it’s where you pay! Not a place I will frequent.

tried to get 9 in after work, called them before we got there to make sure they were still open, got there and weren’t allowed to take a cart…. would’ve been nice to know that they don’t allow carts out passed 4:30 when i called 10 minutes before i got there.

Ok. For you "great" golfers, my husband says it lacks character. True, but its in decent shape. For those of us who haven't played in years and aren't that great, this is a nice wide open course that gives you a chance to play on the fairways since they are generally long and wide. No water. A few sand traps, but mostly fairways and greens to get some practice on. For those of you who end up in the woods or landscaping, be aware that there is poison ivy everywhere and you would be wise to sacrifice a ball for avoiding poison ivy blisters and itching. We enjoyed a no pressure round.

Staff is friendly, I would give the course 5 stars but the fairways were in ruff shape. The price is right to walk 9 and the grams were in good condition. Will be back to play again.
