In summary

College Hill Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained conditions, scenic setting, and affordable prices, making it a popular choice for golfers seeking a challenging yet enjoyable 9-hole experience. The course offers a variety of holes and is supported by a well-stocked pro shop and knowledgeable staff, including a respected PGA professional. However, some visitors have reported negative interactions with certain staff members, citing unprofessional behavior and rude service, which has detracted from their overall experience.

We came to the golf course being polite and respectful, yet the woman at the front desk immediately treated us with rudeness, mocking us and even using vulgar language. Her behavior was shocking and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome despite our kindness. After this unpleasant interaction, she ended up giving everyone in our group refunds, but the situation became even more uncomfortable when she followed us outside, pleading that we needed to take the refund. The entire experience felt chaotic and disrespectful, leaving a very negative impression of the golf course. We didn’t even hit o…

Fantastic course with an excellent variety of holes, always well maintained, and all at a super accessible price. Highly recommend for anyone looking to golf in the area.

Lady at the front was VERY VERY rude, ive played golf for 6 years tried every course in the area and i was shocked at the lack of respect i was shown here. i was mocked, cursed at and yelled at to the point where i asked for a refund and left. This is absolutely ridiculous behavior i have never in my life seen this im still shocked.

Quick 9 holes while in Poughkeepsie for my friend’s wedding. The course plays short and isn’t quite glamorous, but was a ton of fun and provides some interesting challenges.

Paid for 9 holes. Checked in on time, at 7th hole the desk lady came zooming across the course to say she thought I’d play faster. Felt very rushed

For $15, I would come here everyday if I could. This isn’t your luxury course, but the greens are great (bunkers are hazards, they are renovating them in the off season). Tee boxes are okay, fairways and rough are decent. Only downside is the occasional homeless person riding their bike through the course…

Used to be better taken care. Almost all of the Sand traps were full off weeds and ignored. The fact that McCamn is affiliated would make me think they took better care of the place. Disappointed

The normal woman working the front desk tonight 9/26/23 was extremely rude. Went out of her way to drive a cart up the hill of 9 to scream at my partner and i saying “CMONNN” during our shots. Then proceeded to use vulgar language towards us expressing we took to long as we dropped the cart off after a round that took us about an hour and a fourty minutes. The time was about 6:30, the course is advertised to close at 7pm online. We even called ahead and asked for availability to get a cart at 4:30 and she said yes no problem. Its a shame as a regular golfer at the course to be treated this way…

Fix the scorecard. 8th hole was shown as a dogleg left and it is a sstraight fairway. I took a 50% powered Drive expecting the fairway to turn. Best 9 hole course in the area. Good deal at $14 to walk in 2021. Walking up the 8th hill was a killer at 60 yrs old. I used a heavy golf bag. I should have had my pull cart.Vassar is another nice 9 hole course. Vassar is scenic too but, Vassar has too many bald spots on fairways.

Everyone here is awesome besides the middle age guy with a buzz cut that flip flops from McCann . I’ve had rude encounters there with him too. Several friends have as well. He’s very disrespectful and not a good look for the rest of the staff.

Challenging for most. There are several holes where a middle marker would be helpful as you cannot see the pin from the tee. We'll maintained fairways and greens. Good time.

A veritable gem of a golf course! Nicely nestled among the meticulously maintained rolling terrain of College Hill Park! All that and a Grecian style temple perched atop its peak! What once was a ski jump is now the opening hole for an enjoyable golfing experience! As Bruce Flesland used to say "hit it straight" and you'll do just fine. Course pro Vince Bennedetto is a great guy and the consummate golf professional. A few lessons with this "golfing guru" and you'll be the envy of your golfing peers! "Vinnie" possesses a wealth of knowledge in his field, loves his job and it shows! Plenty of…
