Nice 18 hole State run public course. Usually kept in pretty good condition. Green and cart fees are well priced.

It's ashamed that this state park golf course is not maintained better. What would be the clubhouse building is in such disrepair? The doors are locked. You can't even get in it. It looks like it's about to fall down. I think it's a disservice that the state is not maintaining this property the way it should. As for the golf course, it was really fun to play 18 holes fairways fairly maintained. Greens were an excellent shape. If you can get past the look of the clubhouse and get on to on the first tee, you'll have a great time.

Great local course. This is the cheapest course in the area to play 18 with a cart and it is a great value. The course is maintained very well and pace of play is always pretty good - don't think I've ever had a round take much longer than 4 hours. Course is challenging at times (yes it is "hilly" on several holes and the rough can be unforgiving for errant tee shots but it is an old time golf course). Only knock is that the clubhouse restaurant hasn't been open for awhile, but they did just recently re-open the small cafe for refreshments, breakfast sandwiches and turn dogs etc...

Beautiful course! A good challenge for a casual/novice player, while not too difficult. Played here once, but would definitely play here again! The clubhouse eatery is great as well. Delicious food, and friendly staff all around. Definitely one of my top two favorite courses to play.

Very fun course even if not very skilled. I recommend to all skill levels if you just want a nice and fun experience. The thing about it is that it is hilly. If you're not a fan of hills, then this might not be living up to your hope. Also it's very beautiful in the fall! Very good condition too!

Wouldn’t recommend this course to my worst enemy. David in the pro shop was a great guy, the course however didn’t match his energy. A shot from the fairway is never flat. Way too many hills. Greens rolled good though, I will end that good note.

The course offers wonderful history tied directly to the Gilded Age, important to the Hudson Valley. The view from the first tee is incredible, with the top of Mills Mansion peeking out of the trees, the Hudson River beyond, and the Catskills on the horizon. The layout offers enough variety for a diverse level of players, and the greens are always in fabulous condition. I do wish a season pass was available from the state to promote more accessibility, but as is, the course still offers value.
