In summary

Red Hook Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, appealing layout, and friendly staff, with many golfers enjoying the back nine in particular. The restaurant and amenities also receive positive remarks for their quality and atmosphere. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the high greens fees, perceived decline in course conditions, and certain club policies, which they feel detract from the overall experience.

Amazing course! Not a fan of the people on the board of the club. It was a wide open morning today no one on the course, we had 4 people in our group and our friend was also there playing singles. After a few holes we had him join up with us because absolutely nobody was around our group, we played the rest of the front nine in under 2 hours, on 9 we got stopped by a ranger who said he didn’t mind us playing 5 because we were flying through the round. We get through the next 5 holes in an hour and another ranger comes up to us and told us the people on the board are not happy we are playing 5…

The course does not match the price for greens fees. This course is comparable to 40-55 dollar per round courses. 120+ dollars for a course with average greens and fairways is ridiculous. Also, the course is 90% dog legs too.

Have played here many times. The course has always been well taken care of. My favorite part of the course I would have to say is the back 9. Not saying the front is bad. But I love the course layout the most on the back 9.

2 stars because we were not warned that the course was badly burned out, the greens were mostly lost, and they had recently aerated with an abundance of sand. We liked playing this course in years past but not in good shape currently. Perhaps a discount on greens fees or even a warning in the pro shop would've been nice. We will try again next year.

Course was in good shape Went for buffet after nine holes Young waitstaff woman wiped a plate with the shirt she was wearing before handing it to me. I requested a different plate. Buffet was $30 but the food was tasty, fresh and there was a big selection including whole salmon, scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, variety of cold salads, variety of deserts, fresh fruit, waffles, pancakes, meats etc.

This visit was to see the live music playing at the 19th hole. The food was good and the bar staff very cheerful.

Course has downgraded significantly in the past year. You pay an arm and a leg for greens fees but range balls aren’t only not included, if you’re not a member you cannot use the range, also the tee boxes on the back 9 are uneven. I’ve played at much nicer courses for similar prices, driving range included. If you want a great experience for similar pricing I’d recommend apple greens or beekman over red hook any day.

The course is great, well maintained, and challenging. The people in Red Hook and Rhinebeck are rude, miserable, snooty, and just make what could be a good time into feeling they don't want anyone around their one horse towns. Update, played in the Rotary tournament, and a Person who was part of the sponser's, told us we should sit and watch them eat lunch and not to play thru, SMFH, even the group behind us said their out of their minds. Nothing has changed, still the same nasty, miserable, toxic attitude. Also you can pay $80 now for a round of golf + the cart, for this wonderful experience,…

$110 for golf and cart for a course that is NOT worth that money, my group discussed maybe $75, even then I don’t see a return to this course. Numerous greens had brown or bare spots, overall shape was below average for a course to charge such a high rate. Apparently, they now have a membership option and I guess this is to discourage the public from playing here. Only reason for a 2nd star is director of outside operations Bert is a rockstar employee. He checked in with us a few times during our round and is just a super person. Only opted for here due to a tournament/outing at Copake country…
