In summary

Carlisle Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable rates, and the nostalgic charm of its older style course and clubhouse. Many visitors enjoy the course layout and condition, particularly the greens, and find it a fun and relaxed place to play. However, some have criticized the course for maintenance issues, such as outdated golf carts and poorly maintained fairways, and a few have had negative interactions with management.

Don’t listen to any of the bad reviews. There honestly probably bad golfers and blaming the course for playing bad. Me and my grandfather have been golfing here for years and the only thing I can say it’s gotten better over the years. One of my favorite underrated courses because it has that old feeling. Greens are honestly in amazing shape. 10/10 recommend this course.

First of all the course itself is falling apart fairways are awful I thought my cart was going to breakdown the whole ride. But I will never be returning because the so called manager of this course was out doing lawnwork and screamed at my friends and I and asked if we were looking to fight just after chipping near him and he refused to get out of the way. I’m sorry but if I’m paying money to go golfing the workers there should be working around me not the other way around. My friend called and complained only for the manager to threaten calling the sheriff on us and filing for an assault cha…

If I could give this course zero stars I wouldn’t hesitate. It’s hands down the worst course I’ve ever played. Tee boxes and greens were horribly maintained. The first hole was nothing short of a log jam. The carts were smoking as if they were going to catch fire. There were dead tree limbs snapping and falling into the fairway. I believe I was the only person not smoking a cigarette. How this place is still standing is beyond me. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

You know its a bad course when the cashier asks if we played this course before and replies with "no refunds". This truly might be the worst course in Ohio. Cash only, no tee times, the carts are ancient, the course... oh lord. The tee boxes were incredibly small which would be fine...if there was grass. 98% of the fairways are dirt patches or legit gravel. The grounds crew, if there is one, should be absolute ashamed with themselves. The course has amazing potential if it was the slightest bit maintained. Do not waste your time with this place. If I could give it a 0, I would.

Great course and very friendly staff. Took my dad today and we played 18 holes. Got a sandwich between the front 9 & back and was very good & decently priced. I suggest the new back 9 as its a nice course with alotnod shorter holes. We will definitely be back. Decent price for the course.

Shame on Carlisle golf course for ruining what was supposed to be a fun day for my husband and younger boys for Father’s Day! No where does it state on their website or on location that children are not allowed to play on the course due to new policy. The only thing on their outside board stated no children under 5 allowed on carts. We had brought our boys last year where they learned their love for golf at this course so we thought let’s go to Carlisle golf course so they could continue working on their golf skills. Now I understand there are complaints at any golf course when it comes to chi…

Good course. Challenging course with good hole design. In good shape. Been years since I played here. Used to be a cow pasture but has grass now! I'll be back.

I really great little golf course. It was in fantastic condition. Everyone there was friendly. I enjoyed playing there on 5/08/21 as much as I did 30 plus years ago with my grandfather. Definitely one of Lorain county's hidden gems.
