Blackhead Mountain Lodge & Country Club

Of all the places I've stayed in upstate New York, this one easily had the best views!! It was gorgeous, well kept, clean, and everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly. Breakfast is included with your stay and while it's pretty basic, you can get as much or as little as you like, which is great. The restaurant also serves a full German dinner. Loved this place and would absolutely stay again.

The warm family-friendly atmosphere took us back to a time when we truly cared about each other as neighbors & friends. The owners were more than accommodating at every level. Food was delightful & service wonderful. Golf course is challenging but fun. You’ll be happy you chose this home away from home.

The motel location is great! Very fresh air and pleasant Mountain View’s. If only they offer longer & later breakfast time would be great. Also it was just impossible to get any good sleep because the room was not sound-proof and I can vividly hear my neighbors yelling at midnight or whispering in the morning. What else can I complain?

Beautiful golf course. Way over my expectations. Had a group of 10 come through and we didn’t have any issues, played in 4.5 hours. If you’re in the area and a golfer you’d be making a mistake by not stopping here. Great staff, great bar and grill. Stop here if you’re in the Hunter area!!

Blackhead Mountain Lodge was our first Harvest Host experience and what a beautiful spot it was! If you are a Golfer this is a must especially with the Autumn foliage. Classic New England feel, great hospitality with restaurant and pub style lodge make this a great way to visit the Catskills.

Very nice course. Well kept and fun to play, the scenery in October was really nice. I would deffinitly recommend to anyone interested in a challenging mountain course. Well worth the drive and the price.

Wonderful golf course, staff and delicious authentic German cuisine at the charming restaurant. If you can make the trip up to Blackhead Mountain you won’t be disappointed!

Pleasantly surprised. I booked this trip as a last minute bike trip/ weekend get away for us. The area is absolutely stunning.Dinners were delicious. Some of the best i have ever had. Everything here is made with love. The family atmosphere and charm of this resort make it a very special place..

I was a guest tonight for a Graduation Dinner. I have to say that this place knows what they are doing. From our appetizers to Mains and Dessert.... all was absolutely outstanding! Terrific Staff, friendly and accommodating! The Chef came by several times to check on us. The timing of your meal is perfect here. It was nice to relax and have time between apps and main course. Overall, this was a great experience. The food was the best German Food I have had anywhere. You will not be disappointed.

A breathtaking course for scenery and well designed. Grounds keeping could improve and the greens are usually rough. However I highly suggest a drink and bite to eat after as the restaurant is very good. Overall a very nice place for a round a golf and a day out.
