In summary

Bear Creek Golf Club is widely praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and welcoming atmosphere for members and their guests. The staff is frequently complimented for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to a positive golfing experience. However, the club faces criticism for its men-only policy, which some find outdated and exclusionary.

I never miss an invite to this course. The layout and terrain are both beautiful and challenging. The greens are fast and keep you humble and guessing. Picture opportunities everywhere! This is a Members Club and feels exclusive but welcoming.

Pretty appalling women can't play on this course. From what I understand, also the last course to start accepting people of color. I'll get my subpar food and drink somewhere else.

Always love coming here as a guest. One of the best Reubens I've ever had. Fun course too, always in great shape.

An amazing and underrated golf course. I’m a little confused by women rating the course 1 star. I know for a fact they haven’t played the course so how can they provide an informed opinion?

Beautiful. Humble and pleasing and very welcoming to me, a guest, of a member they all knew by name. Very relaxing and calm setting. The course is pretty well immaculate. Members obviously value their golf, and their greenkeeper(s)! Pro shop was stocked with all great stuff, reasonably priced.

Despite what preconceived notions you may have about a men's only course, Bear Creek has been one of the best golfing experiences I have ever had. I was hesitant at first, but everyone from the members to the pros have been nothing but welcoming and the perks for choosing Bear Creek over other clubs are apparent from the day I joined. I'd admonish anyone to give them a shot and give them the opportunity to give you a first class golfing experience.

A nice course in a great fine location, but absolutely appalling that it's men's only in this day and age. I'm trying to imagine if people would still be ok with the course if it was "whites only" or discriminated based on some other genetic characteristic. Moreover, the course staff are not courteous to the rest of the Bear Creek Community.

This place is pathetic, saying it "services it's residents of Lakewood" couldn't be more of a misleading lie when this place is for "men only". Being a male in my late 30's and walking into an establishment that doesn't accept women to play but "they can dine" there is a disgusting show-case of segregation and bigotry. It's a uncomfortable and horrible place that I experienced walking into, and will never return. Also definitely like women more than I do men. But to each their own, they must like diddling eachother in the clubhouse.

The best course I’ve played in the state. This is golf nirvana for golf purists. The layout is naturalistic, challenging, and beautiful. Every hole is unique and yet thematically consistent; meandering, sloping fairways demanding precision over distance off the tee, usually into raised fortress greens requiring approaches over lakes, creeks or valleys. Angles and positioning are everything here, and like all great courses, this makes Bear Creek never play the same way twice. I’ve only been on the course once but the par 3’s stand out to me right away, they are just incredible: downhill (someti…

Great challenging course. Clubhouse is old and out of date. Glad I played here.
