Fossil Trace Golf Club

I golfed here thinking the scenery would be the selling point. The layout of the course is what blew me away. Such a fun and entertaining layout.

I went to the driving range, and instead of opening up a few of the areas for people to hit balls, they reserved half of the driving range for tee times, even though only a couple of people were using the reserved area. They made people wait to hit balls instead of opening up the range.

One of my favorite places to golf in Colorado. Amazing views, challenging holes, great location, and always a great time. All the staff working there are friendly and extremely helpful. I have golfed at this course maybe a handful of times but I will always be back. It is a must go to golf course if your are in Colorado.

This was the last course for our scout trip for our fall golf tournament this year. This was not my first time playing here so I wanted to bring my buddies here for consideration to add to our tournament rotation. To say they errr impressed would be an understatement. In October 2025, I was a participant along with several other veterans under the PGA Hope program at Fossil Trace. Nick and Mat were our instructors for the 3-week course. The course, the clubhouse, Pro Shop, and instruction were outstanding. I returned in late November for a round of golf with family members. The course is challenging, stunning, and well-maintained. The expertise of both Nick and Mat as PGA-certified instructors made the experience most noteworthy. INCREDIBLE! If you enjoy golf and you’re visiting or live near fossil trace you must go. The course is so beautiful and has unique challenges. Also if you’re there early grab a breakfast burrito before you head out and then a bison brat at the turn, both are delicious.

What a wonderful and challenging course. Incredible views, but get used to not seeing the flag. :) Water hazards were almost fun. I haven't spent this much time "on the beach" in years. Not my best score, but an incredibly fun round of golf. Definitely up for a repeat visit.

Golf course is crazy awesome. Beautiful, unique holes. 5 stars Food & Beverage, though, is not good. Extremely limited menu combined with lowkey meh service attitude. 1 star

Hands down the best golf course in Colorado. Book your tee time and go. I play here almost every Wednesday and it is always in impeccable shape. Challenging holes with stunning views. You’re in for an absolute treat here. The 19th hole offers an open covered patio in which you can take in all the views of the course and mountain range. Their food menu has a wide variety for everyone and their cooks elevate it to a high quality restaurant level. This course also offers a large putting green area with separate chipping area. Book it today and thank me later.

I visited from out of town and we decided to play a winter round for their twilight hours. I was shocked at how beautiful these greens were! Somehow I feel like a pro putter now. It was such a great experience and I will definitely be going home chatting it up to all my friends and family. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic course! Must play if you're near Denver. All holes were interesting and with five par-5s and five par-3s you get plenty of scoring opportunities. #1 is a good indication of what's to come -- downhill par-5 with a chimney incinerator in the fairway. Signature hole is #12, a par-5 with a huge rock wall on the left and 3 large boulder/rock mounds in the fairway about 100 yards from the green. Several fossils are displayed beside the green. Course was in great shape, greens rolling fast. Staff is fantastic, GPS carts, grass range. I give it all the thumbs up and can't wait to return!
