Zellwood Station Golf Club is appreciated for its unique layout featuring challenging elevation changes and interesting holes, particularly the "Crater Junction" section. Many visitors commend the friendly staff and enjoy the amenities, including a well-received restaurant. However, some golfers have noted issues with the pace of play and course conditions, such as dry roughs and occasional maintenance needs, which can impact the overall experience.

Hadn’t been to the course in years, and with the reviews being pretty good I figured we’d give it a go again. We were told there was a tourney on the course and to be patient. I don’t mind waiting a little, but waiting on every shot is excessive - it took 2-1/2 hours to get through the front 9. At the turn our group stopped to grab snacks since we were going to be waiting anyways, and some rude residents decided to jump in front of us on the senior tees. They said they were told to go ahead since no one was on the tee box but I didn’t see the starter outside the clubhouse so I’m pretty sure th…

Conditions were dry which was to be expected because of the lack of rain, but you really must play this course at least once to check out the five crater holes from 12 to 16. Hilly Terrain with a few blind shots. They should install Bells to let golfers behind know when it is safe to hit. Awesome restaurant specials. Bartender was very nice and the food was excellent. Very good happy hour specials as well.

Ok course. Pace was decent. You do want to be on fairway and green all the time because rough isnt really rough, it's more like sandy with a few spots of grass. A lot of hidden holes that can be a bit tricky but also dangerous because you really don't have any idea where the group in front of you are. So please do check.

Played Zellwood today. As you can see from some of the photos I took, the course is pretty banged up. They had recently aerified the greens so I’ll give them a pass on this because the lower rate reflected these conditions, and aerification is part of general maintenance. But it’s gonna take some time for them to recover. I recommend waiting at least a month or two before playing here. The fairways were playable, but the immediate rough off the fairways and beyond are VERY rough - as in large patches of high weeds, and large areas of dirt. Most tee boxes are pretty messed up too. A number of b…

I live in this community. I patronize this restaurant regularly. The food is okay. Good drink prices. Happy hour could be better. Thursday bingo brings in a lot of people as well as irnhole. Good social scene. Nice servers.

Course was interesting and had some unique holes. My problem with it was pace of play . In 5hrs we only got to hole 15. We couldn’t finish the last 3 holes because we didn’t have 6 hours planned in our schedule to play 18.

I love this course even though I usually score higher than normal here. But this place has a lot of character unlike a lot of the Central Florida courses. Crater Junction will test even the low handicappers. Great restaurant as well. And a bargain most times I have played there.

Interesting layout with big elevation changes for FL. Plenty of room to spray the ball off the tee. Fairways decent, greens good with a medium pace. Rough is really nonexistent as mostly just sandy ground and grass patches. Would take a lot to bring this course up to top condition so better keeping as is and keep the price down as it’s a good track for the price. Played on a rainy day so had course to myself.

Super nice people. Golf course has some good character, with dog legs elevation changes and shots over deep retention ponds. Greens roll smooth and breaks are tuff to read.
