What People Say

In summary

Sweetwater Country Club is frequently praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the quality of its Tuscan Lounge and Grill, which many find to be a standout feature. The course layout is generally appreciated for being fun and challenging, though some visitors have noted issues with course conditions, particularly the fairways and greens, which are reportedly undergoing improvements. While some guests have experienced dissatisfaction with the current state of the course, others recognize the efforts being made to enhance its overall quality.

Tuscan Lounge is Amazing. Nothing is frozen and everything is hand made. The course layout is a lot of fun. Rose Marie is amazing. Be prepared to move your ball on the green for a clean roll. The 9th green is ridiculous. It is the size of 2 dining room tables with a ton of slope on the front, surrounded on 2 sides by houses that are literally on top of the fringe, water in the front and cart path with swamp immediately on the left. Please move that green and save that poor house.

Tuscan Lounge and Grill is fantastic. What a gem to have hidden in Sweetwater! Pasta was perfect! Meatballs were delicious. Calzone was excellent. Thanks Joe for a wonderful dinner. Thanks Rose Marie for wonderful drinks. Perfect night!

The course is getting there. A few interesting holes to start out, but then some great ones on the back. The staff was wonderful and we had an awesome calzone and a few drinks after the round. Super nice bartender and the chef came out to chat for a bit. Worth a visit for sure.

An older course that's good to play! I've played this course since about 1988 and it's still fun and challenging. The club house and restaurant is ready to provide you with great service! Have fun!!

Haven’t played out here in many years and thought it was closed but they have experienced a resurgence and they are building a new clubhouse. I think the plan is to really upgrade this course. With that being said, the course still has a lot of character but fairways were rough, tee boxes were rough, but the greens were in good shape. Can’t really remember the layout but it seems like it may have changed and is a little confusing since they seem to be re-designing some of the holes. Very tight course though but plays pretty easy.

Nice public course. For the price worth it. Sure there are better or worse, but in for a nice day out excellent. My only real complaint was some of the greens were a bit rough, but honestly it looked like they are trying to repair so credit for that. Pro shop staff friendly, one cart girl, but she was around enough. I would play again, in few months to see how the greens turned out.

I’ve been a member here for a few months now and I don’t regret it one bit. Lee, Bob, Kevin, Alina, and Luis treat you like family every time you walk in, genuinely good people who set the tone for the whole place. The food? Next level. Jersey Joe runs the kitchen like a pro and is just as solid of a guy as the meals he puts out. And then there’s the course. It’s in great shape, plays better every time, and honestly makes you want to keep coming back. I’ll never forget making my first hole-in-one on Hole 15—unreal experience. If you’re thinking about joining, just do it. Between the people,…

I must say, the course is looking better and better every time I come out. A lot of the greens are running fast and looking fantastic — you can really see the hard work paying off. Keep it up, guys! The course is well on its way to being one of the best in the area. Big shoutout to Lee and the crew for always being so friendly and accommodating — it really makes a difference. If you’re ever in Sebring, make sure to come and hangout with us. You won’t be disappointed!

Played here 4 times now in the last month or so ! In the 70’s and 80’s it was la creme de la creme of private golf clubs in Florida ! Where all the rich and powerful would come play ! After many years of strugling it has resurfaced in a big way ! Played 18 today then had a magnificent brick oven pizza that was superb ! Call Sweetwater and reserve a T time ! Won’t regret it !!!

Started playing this course about a year and a half ago and it was making really good progress and I understand that these process take time. But today was my last time there for awhile until they can make the course playable. $50 for a round of golf to play in fairways that were identical to the roughs. Some of the holes you would lose your ball that was hit in the fairway. The tee boxes were extremely overgrown and you had to hit throw a jungle just to play. The couple in front of us said they were members of the course and they were about to cancel their membership because of the course co…
