In summary

West Sayville Golf Course is frequently praised for its picturesque setting along the Great South Bay, challenging layout, and well-maintained greens. The staff, particularly Coach Sean, receives high marks for running excellent youth camps and clinics. While many enjoy the course's condition and amenities, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and inconsistent fairway maintenance.

The Youth camps and weekly clinics at West Sayville are great. Coach Sean runs a well organized program. Great communication with parents, and the kids learn all about the game of golf. Highly recommend.

Both of my children have had nothing but positive experiences with the Golf camps and clinics at WestSayville. Coach Sean and staff do a great job.

Love this course. Driving range is good enough, front 9 starts on the water and back 9 goes “inland”. Challenging with many fairway sand traps in the 220-250 range but still fun.

Played here for my first time recently and am very impressed! The course was in amazing condition, especially at this point in the season. Fun layout, beautiful setting. Will definitely be back!

I played this track yesterday. 4 hours and 40 minutes wasn't really a good pace of play, and there were no rangers on the course at all. It's a scenic course with Great South Bay/Fire Island view but was a bit challenging with more than a few holes with water in play, including the 16th combined with a stiff wind off the Atlantic. Shot 101, but it was probably due to a combination of first-time jitters and consecutive mishits leading to a 9 on hole # 15 & 7 on # 17. Still, I enjoyed figuring out hole # 16 and took a creative approach where I successfully used the adjacent fairway from the 1…

Course is in much better condition than it used to be. Greens were rolling pretty quick too

I cant speak for the actual course (although it did look nice), but the driving range was great. It is $8 for 50 balls which isn't too pricey. The range is very basic but it is super chill. If you're looking to just hit some balls and hangout this is a great choice for you.

We had lunch in the clubhouse and it was great, all for less than $20. Bartender was friendly and served all those who came in efficiently.

Great course, I love the way it’s ran. First hole starts out as a long par 5 , OB on left, keep it right then keep it center if you can on second shot. 2nd hole is an easy par 3 but when you get to 3 that’s when it gets tricky. 18 is again a long straight par 5 with no real trouble to end the day, so if your leading your group after 17 you should win the day, Greens are always in good shape, good little restaurant, and they start the golfers seamlessly. Highly Recomended , also great Lil town to grab a drink n food after a good or not so good day on course

Its a county course with beautiful views. The staff is great. The course is challenging, especially when the prevailing south wind is blowing.

Always a fun course. County owned so the price is great. Summer breeze off the bay make for a nice round when it's hot outside.
