In summary

Trinidad Municipal Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, scenic views, and the unique challenge offered by its 9-hole layout with different tee boxes for an 18-hole experience. The staff is often highlighted for their friendliness and accommodating nature, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, particularly on weekends due to the allowance of fivesomes, and a few have mentioned encounters with unfriendly staff.

This is a hidden gem of a golf course. It provides a very nice challenge for a making a variety of shots over short, medium and long distances. The course is in excellent condition. The fairways are lush and the greens are smooth and relatively fast and are receptive to good shots that reach a reasonably high flight path. It is only a 9-hole layout, but they have built in a second set of tees for each hole at different distances and angles from the first sets of tees. So you can play a full round of 18 and have a different challenge for each hole. We played on a weekday and it was relatively…

This was a great find during our trip. This 9 hole course offers different tee boxes making it a challenging 18 hole course. The course was in excellent shape, the staff was extremely friendly and the golfers were friendly. It was good enough to play it twice while we were passing through. We highly recommend playing a few holes if you are in the area.

The one thing I do know about this place is the rude and unfriendly guy at the bar. My golfing friends and I recommend you go to Raton until that guy is gone. I'll check again in about a month. Everyone down there has been very friendly.

Was traveling from Denver to Austin and my son and I decided to stop and play a round of golf. We could not have had a better experience. The staff was great. The course was in incredible shape and the greens were impeccable. I will definitely be returning. Oh, stopped on the return trip and was just as good!

We came down for business in the area and got off early enough to have the opportunity to check out this course. First off our group didn’t have our clubs nor balls due to the fact we didn’t anticipate enough time to play. The individual we met at the golf house was classy, professional and very accommodating. He let us use some clubs they had in storage and gave a great overall deal. He let us play immediately and the course was beautiful. Good job to the staff and we will definitely be back. Hopeful next time we will be able to bring our own clubs and attack this beautiful layout.

This is one of the most picturesque nine hole golf courses in Colorado and is fantastic to play, according to my in-laws,who played it while the wife and I enjoyed another less used but just as well maintained feature, the tennis courts. The adobe clubhouse is quaint, if not fully serviced anymore due to lack of customers and employees. Still a great place to unwind after golf or tennis.

This is one of those local courses that allows fivesomes on the weekend. If you're unfortunate enough to be behind several of these then expect to spend most of your day waiting to hit. Wish they could figure out the big difference between four fivesomes and five foursomes - about an hour a round. Having only a nine hole layout doesn't help make play any quicker. The Greens have seen better days too - looks like they've been ravaged by rot. Save yourself the aggravation and find somewhere else to play a round.
