In summary

Tri Cities Golf Club offers a 27-hole layout that many find enjoyable and affordable, with some praising the course's greens and friendly staff. However, there are consistent concerns about course maintenance, including untrimmed roughs, neglected bunkers, and deteriorating greens, which some feel do not justify the increasing fees. Additionally, issues with slow pace of play and overcrowding have been noted by several visitors.

Great course with 27 holes. A little rough for winter play but they are working hard to get it ready for spring & summer. I'll definitely be back when everything is green.

I have played this golf course for years. It is in terrible condition trees laying everywhere the greens are about gone, sink holes in the middle of fairways. They will go weeks without changing the cups on the greens. They leave the tees in the same spot until the grass is gone. The price keeps going up and the quality has hit about rock bottom.

Today was the day I can’t take anymore of this course. For the last 5 years they’ve spent less and less to make this course even average. I play on average once to twice a week and this course used to be one that I played more than others. The conditions are terrible and green fees continue to go up. I feel confident this course has seen my last dollar until they decide to invest in making this course at least average. I don’t need The Virginian out of a public course but I need better than the Cedars and Steele Creek. This course is worse than both of those at this point.

On July 25, 2025, me and my father and I decided to go and play the course. We played 18. We were told that they were sending everyone off to "The pines" all day long. The "Pines" looked amazing. Tee boxes were cut, the greens were nice, the rough and fairway were well taken care of. It was a great experience and wasn't rushed at all. Then, after finishing the first 9, it all went downhill. When we were making our turn, there was a foursome in front of us (Remind you, we had no one in front of us or behind us the entire 9 and rarely saw anyone). We went inside and asked why there was a 4-some…

Greens are looking good. Tee boxes badly need repair especially the golf (senior tees). Great staff. Just needs cart path repairs, holes filled in, tree limbs removed.

Course needs some maintenance. Fairways and tee boxes are in good shape, greens needed a little attention, and the bunkers are almost unplayable right now. Still not bad for the cost. Club house is nice enough.

Stopped by while in town for the race. Great deal on a great course. Super affordable for how nice the course is. 27 holes! Can't beat it. (Faaast greens!)

I have played this course for many years and enjoyed each visit. Unfortunately, today was my last. I have never seen greens in horrific shape such as these. We played 27 holes and each green had craters, as if they were on Mars. The fairways were okay, but not great. Additionally, the roughs were not trimmed, and fallen trees were neglected. Overall, it is a shame to see a great course fall to the wayside. I hope they get some assistance in resurrecting a great course.

A convenient course with 27 holes. Played 9 on the Woods today. Greens were in good shape! My putting...not so much!

Course is very poor for what is charged from tee, to fairways, to greens. Played here for years, but due to management acting like they are closer to a private club than a Steels Creek, I will no longer play. Use to play 2-3 times per week and played in the weekly league nights as well.

I just came off the course. I just played the pines and the woods courses. I come through this area a couple times a year, and when I do this is where I will stop to play. Friendly people! Nice place!

Let me start by saying I was absolutely crushing my shots all day and the fairways were awesome on March 14th 2024. However when I get to the course the gentleman in the club house was very respectful because we wanted to add one more to our tee time. However the older gentleman that was sending the carts out was giving me and my group attitude when we were on schedule for the tee time. Just rude to me and the group I was playing with hopefully this was a one off situation and will try the course again soon.
