I love this course but will not be returning. It is highly discouraging for female golfers along with other issues. Third time I’ve had issues here and this one could have easily been prevented. Myself and three others were doing a scramble (couples golf with two women two men) and were moving at a decent pace (2 hours and 7 minutes to be exact) for 9 holes. The group of older men behind us called the club house and complained about our pace, sending an employee out to chat with us make sure we weren’t playing 18 as it seemed. I feel as though the club house could have handled this differently…

This was my first time playing the course and I really liked the layout. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and made me feel at home. There are a few blind shots off the tee, but I was fortunate to play with someone who's a regular here so that made my round easier. The fairways are Bermuda and the ball sits up nicely. Some areas of the rough are thick, so keep watching any errant shots closely. The only negative factor was that the greens had been been aerated recently and putts were an interesting experience. My playing partner assured me that the greens roll fast and true onc…

Elizabethton is one of my favorite courses in the area. I would play it more often but I cannot book a tee time via their website. When I call, no one ever answers the phone. They don’t answer when it is sunny or pouring rain. If you leave a message, rest assured they won’t return your call. If this course doesn’t make it, the reason will be their lack of communication. Who wants to take a chance on driving there and no tee time is available. I would have given it fewer stars, but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt to take this review to heart and correct these issues.

Elizabethton Golf Course is a good layout and the course has been in good condition the last couple of years. The greens are especially nice. It is not expensive and a good value.

Fast greens, but in great shape. Fairways were excellent. Bunkers were really not very playable, so just took a free drop. Friendly staff.

Site says it’s open 8:30am to 7:00pm so why are employees cashing out registers at 6:00pm or earlier and refusing customers? In my opinion they should not close the register until after they’re closed. AT 7PM. My boyfriend had been playing there for a couple hours and then went in around 6:00 hoping to get a drink, and was refused because they had closed the register. Employees need to stop being so trigger happy to leave and do their job. You have an hour left of being open so do your jobs. It’s beyond ridiculous. You have no right to refuse paying customers because you’re too lazy or incompe…

Played an early Sunday round, course was in good shape. Good layout, fun place to play. All the staff were friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Driving range is in good shape as well! Only things I feel it needs currently is, some work done on the cart path and it would be nice if a couple of the more elevated tee boxes had a step or two or maybe a railing? My senior father I played with struggled a little with getting up on some of the more hilly tee boxes. Outside of that I love it and being local am going consider becoming a member.

Traveled to the area from Michigan and boy, was this course a treat. Very well maintained and amateur friendly. Greens were difficult to read but fun. Fairways and tee boxes were great condition. Enjoyed this course much more than Mt. Mitchell. If you get a chance, play this course. For $30, it's a steal!

I played the back nine on a Wednesday evening in May. Great staff. No waiting. Reasonable price. Fairways are not great, but I expect that will improve. Greens were very nice. More sand bunkers would be nice, but these are well maintained. Interesting and challenging course layout. Obvious room for improvements, but overall an enjoyable course.

I used to absolutely love this place. But management has changed hands several times and it seems to be going down hill. The clubhouse is ALWAYS closing way to early. Most people get off at 5:30 and have no chance of getting there in time to hit a bucket cause it's closed by 6. Some of the staff are just rude... mainly the short older gentleman. I think his name is Dwight. When Steve Howard and Herman ran the place...EGC was a great place to practice and play.
