In summary

The Vineyards Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, and suitability for a range of players, particularly beginners. Many enjoy the course layout, noting the wide fairways and generally well-maintained greens. However, some visitors have raised concerns about inconsistent maintenance, including uncut grass and problematic greens, as well as occasional slow pace of play and drainage issues.

It's a good golf course. There are few bunkers or water hazards, but the fairways are long and fun. It is close to Erie State Park.

I like this course. Great staff and its much improved. BUT - simple things are being ignored. The green humps up around the rim of the cup making it impossible to putt. Tamp the green flat when you move the hole. It's like trying to putt into a volcano.

Perfect for a range of players. My favorite is the front 9 because my GPS watch is pretty accurate. The back 9 doesn't work as well with my watch so it's more challenging for me personally but I love it. The staff there are super friendly and helpful. Can't speak highly enough about it

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens weren't cut in probably 5-7 days. Tee boxes were in pretty shabby shape being uncut and what looked to be unrolled. But overall it was a C+ experience. Easy course, all holes were straight and no sand traps.

Played here with my uncle a couple weeks ago. They decided to sand all the putting greens before the season ended and you couldn’t even putt the ball. Pretty easy course for beginners and seniors. Not worth 36$ for how bad the greens were and how short the course is. Don’t think I’ll play golf here again.

Staff super friendly. Fairways well mowed and wide. There is spots in the fairways that is really rough (maybe 2 or 3 fairways). The rough was playable and cut nice. Greens were fast. Easy to follow course: signs everywhere to point you to the next tee box. Recommend.

Golf course was fine but not well kept. Fairways weren't done and the greens weren't really that great. Layout is good, but pace of play needs to be monitored as slow players caused backups

Played the back nine here. Course was beautiful in the morning and overall a great mix of challenging plus typical golf holes. The staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions here. Place is a family business, all great folks.

Reasonably enjoyable round of golf on Labor Day afternoon. Our 2:20 pm tee time turned into 3pm because of four groups on the first tee. No further problems until we were in the middle of the 16th fairway where we were confronted by two ladies and a dog on a golf cart. I was asked in a very aggressive manner if we were playing without paying. I was told that we had been on the course for over three hours and had not been seen in the club house. After questioning who these ladies were, I was told that one was the owner and the other was the pro shop attendant. The Pro shop attendant had started…

Played here for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. It was a fun course, not to hard, not to easy. The greens were in great shape, especially compared to some of the other public courses in the area. I plan on playing there again tomorrow, and the next day...

The greens are back to being medium-fast and smooth and hold fairly well. The course is in great shape this summer with the mix of rain and sun. Areas around the green are immaculate and tricky now that they rope off cart traffic. I hope the tree on #7 survives!
