In summary

Chautauqua Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained courses, beautiful layout, and friendly staff. Both the Hill and Lake courses offer a challenging yet enjoyable experience, with scenic views and excellent conditions noted by many visitors. However, some have mentioned issues with course wear, limited facilities, and occasional slow pace of play.

We had a blast. We drove up from NYC for a wedding. Snuck in 18 the day before, and 36 the day of the wedding. My greatest regret was not running it back for another 36 the day after the wedding… my hydration was low. Not tough. Fun. Relaxed vibe. Cool mix between the two 18’s (you need to play both!!!). Enjoy!

The hill course is beautiful, I haven't had the chance to play the Lake Course yet. Tough for a beginner, but really easy to book a tee time and painless process.

Early morning round. Course is in great condition. They keep the course in really good condition especially with how dry the summer has been. Fairways are in excellent condition.

Course is located in a beautiful and historic area earning three stars. But course is currently showing wear - greens are not maintained. Facilities on the turn are run down - old toilets, no concessions. Only one water pitcher over 18 holes on 100-degree index day. Rainy conditions and lack of cart path results in course being torn up by carts. Hazards aren’t marked as if no one is out monitoring the conditions of the course. No marshalls working on Saturday when we played, which resulted in longer pace of play. Overall not a great experience - much more beautiful courses in the area, especia…

Great public course. Two 18 hole lake and hill course. Beautiful views, lots of wildlife. Course can be challenging and I recommend a cart on the hill course.

This course was truly phenomenal. The greens are so fast and the course in immaculate. I truly did appreciate the fact that they clean out the carts after each use. If I do have one negative take away it would be that you have to play across the entrance / exit road for vehicles.

Played the hill couse. Course was in excellent shape considering the early time if year. Only complaint was the greens were very firm but you'll have that. Nice pro shop and carts. Would definitely recommend.

We played the Lakes course & it was in great shape. Fairways & green were in pristine shape. Course was pretty challenging but fair also. Multiple food & drink options w/ 6 pack beer specials

Two great 18 hole courses. Both are challenging and in excellent shape. There is a separate area called the Learning Center that is sprawling and allows you to practice all phases of your game. Big driving range, chipping, sand, putting greens. Separate areas for private lessons and camps. My son has done one of the weekly camps and loved it. Best of all is how reasonable the price is for everything.
