In summary

Sugar Hill Golf Course is appreciated for its unique and engaging layout, with scenic views along the lake that provide a pleasant golfing experience. Visitors commend the friendly and accommodating owners, though some express concerns about the course's deteriorating conditions, such as overgrown sand traps and patchy greens. While it offers a fun outing, it may not meet the expectations of serious golfers, and some find it priced higher compared to similar local courses.

Before you go - they no longer have credit card, so bring CASH. About what you'd expect for a 9-hole family owned golf course. A pretty fun course with challenging water hazards. Not a run of the mill cookie cutter links course. Conditions have deteriorated over the last several years though. Well, shame such a well laid out, great location course is in this condition. Runs right along the lake for a long way really a local. The economy of the county and I m sure the taxes have dragged this place down. Play it before it's gone. An elderly couple is trying to run it by them selves and it's for sale. Cool lay out makes you play lots of clubs in your bag, no boring up and back at this place. The greens got hammered with a mold or blight and are poor. Take your friends down take your time, have a smoke on one of the cliffs over looking the lake and enjoy.

It was like someone turned their backyard into a golf course, and the greens were like golfing on the moon's surface (cratered), but I made friends with this adorable little fox.

It had rained a lot the week before we went so the course was quite soft, but the layout was wonderful and the management was incredibly polite.
