A wonderful course hidden in rural Ohio. Was staying in the Wooster area and wanted to get in a quick round. I was pleasantly surprised with The Pines. Everything is in good shape, and several holes are beautiful-yet-deceptively difficult. There's even a nice little clubhouse at the turn. I've got it marked in my maps as a "favorite" now. I'll be back!

This golf course is in the middle of nowhere but is a well maintained course with almost perfect greens that are not all tricked out. Their fairways were lacking in grass in a number of spots but Ohio has had an excessive amount of rain this year so I did not downgrade them for this. Every hole is different and many are memorable. On Wednesday and Thursday they have an add on hot buffet for only $7. Excellent food in a restaurant type atmosphere. Very friendly folks working at the pro shop. No snooty attitude here. They are real folks. Note in the photos the well done carvings that used to be…

The physical place is clean and good looking. The food was cold and brought out late. Then it was taken away far too soon. No one was around to take dirty dishes and there was no trash can present. We had to find a staff member to ask for spoons to serve 2 of our dishes. The projection system didn't work and a staff member worked on it for almost an hour all while our presentation was going on to no result. The desert was delicious. Overall not very pleased for the price point.

Nice track. Stumbled upon it on a drive through the countryside. Got right off, walked 9 in under 1:30. Conditions were nice, the greens were not the fastest but during this heat and for a public course, very acceptable. Some nice diversity of holes, really like the par 3 5th and dogleg 6th.

Had family in from out of town us guys went for the afternoon and about halfway through our 18 holes we started being harassed by another golfer, claiming that we were messing up the green. 100% false claim, he said he had pictures of us doing it when we asked him to show us the pictures he showed pictures of what looked like there may have been a foot intention from it being so wet as it had rained all last week and it was mud everywhere and he was assuming it was us. He appeared to be very intoxicated, he went as far as to get into my minor nephews face that was with us. Very disappointed an…

Always a great, overall experience at The Pines. One of the most scenic courses in Northeast Ohio, well-kept greens, and great pace of play. Also, the new Junipers restaurant is my favorite post-round meal spot!
