In summary

Hawks Nest Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, interesting layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers in the Akron/Canton/Wooster area. The course offers a variety of challenging holes and is considered reasonably priced, with additional amenities like a driving range and a welcoming clubhouse. However, some visitors have noted issues such as the condition of sand traps, occasional overwatering, and a $10 minimum on credit card transactions, which may detract from the overall experience.

Hawks Nest has a great course design and above average condition! The staff is friendly and helpful. The course itself is fairly wide open on most holes, so an errant the shot out two won't hurt you most times. The various hole designs holes are interesting as well as challenging! Great place to play!

Second time playing here this year. Both times greens were in great shape and had been rolled that morning. Highly recommended to someone looking to play a good solid, reasonably price course in the Akron/Canton/Wooster area.

The course itself is very well maintained and gives a good amount of variation between holes. Plays 6700 from the tips for the serious golfers in the group. Book online for cheaper rates. Friendly staff but they implement a $10 minimum on any credit card transaction which is bs for everyone under 40yrs of age. Another ding I give them is Creston is in one of those townships that don't allow 🍺 sales on Sunday. I've been burned on that on more than one occasion.

Course was in very good shape, except they had just aerated the greens, (I should have asked about that), and there was an awful lot of standing water. I thought maybe they had gotten a local downpour, but the parking lot and up by clubhouse were dry. Just over watering in some places.

Golf courses was average price and in good condition, don't understand why it doesn't get more play. Sand traps do need work.

Tees were terrible. Bunkers were nearly as bad. Seriously... $0.25 for a cup of ice! It's 90 degrees out, there is NO drinking water on the course, no beverage cart and you charge for ice!!
