Many visitors appreciate the helpful staff and the overall condition of the greens and fairways. However, some golfers have expressed concerns about the behavior of course rangers, citing instances of being pressured to speed up play, as well as issues with bird droppings and drainage on the course.

Surprised by the recent poor reviews. I was visiting from out of town with a friend and we played on a Thursday afternoon. The staff were all very professional and I personally appreciated them respectfully keeping playing standards in line. Course was in great shape but there was a lot of goose poop, no big deal. We really enjoyed the round!

I thought the staff and course were great. Challenging course, Fast greens . Only bad part, a lot of feathers around the course which makes finding your ball difficult at times.

It rained all day we played but the course was fun and a real challenge. As open as it looked to me, trouble was close. Some nice photos from this fun day.

The service was great. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were immaculate. It can be very windy and very buggy. Goose poop can also be an issue but during my visit, none of these things were a problem. I really enjoyed myself and I think you can get here pretty easily from the city if you take the train to Malverne, Rockville Centre or Oceanside and then Uber.

Went to the driving range. A little small width wise. Certain stalls are limited to irons only. Staff are helpful and friendly. Driving range was $14/ large bucket. I've played the course before. Well maintained. Nice challenge. Not extremely difficult but not easy. GORGEOUS VIEWS off of a lot of greens.

Nice course but mainly for locals-- Staff is not friendly at all. Pretentious is more like it. They live off the ambiance of the scenery as part of the course runs along the bay. My foursome were not happy with the treatment for the price. No one was impressed at all.

The staff in the pro shop were great, clean facility, good start to the day. But the starter and every ranger were horrific. I had an 11:10AM tee time, and was at the starter by 11:09. My friends were on the first tee box, and had already began to tee off. The starter looked at me like I showed up at 3PM - and told me if my friends don't start teeing off, he'll send them to the 2nd hole. However, he must need his hearing checked because two of them had already hit. I've played golf for 20 years, I'm pretty good. Same with my group - but the starter followed us around like an undercover cop and…

The ranger on this course was the worst we have ever encountered. Completely ruined our time here. Not worth the $100 round. Long story short, ranger told us to hurry up on hole 4 while we see the squad in front of us. We got upset and told him we were playing as fast as possible. Ranger proceeds to try and cause a fight by telling the group in front of us that we were calling them out. Again, go golf someplace else because this place treats their customers like dirt.

Pretty course on the bay in Oceanside. Nice track. Not all holes play on the water like these but makes for a nice scene.

Course maintenance was a 3/10. On top of that they had sprinklers going the entire 18. Never had a hole that was not being watered while being played. Carts have the most insane gps location. Cart shut off multiple times for "bring out of bounds" keep in mind we were on the cart path. All and all will never play here again and honestly no one should play here.

The course is okay not amazing, not terrible but everything around it feels like a cash grab. Range balls are overpriced, the mats are ok balls feel like you’re hitting rocks. To make it worse, they actually charge you some gimmicky “membership” fee just to use the chipping area. It’s frustrating to see facilities like this nickel-and-dime players while offering subpar conditions. invest in the amenities or stop charging like you’re a premium club.

The course itself is in good shape, but I won’t be returning. Throughout our round, a staff member sporting a 1930s style mustache repeatedly drove around in a cart, pressuring us to speed up, even though we were clearly keeping pace. Our foursome finished in 4 hours and 10 minutes (official tee time: 9:51, finish: 2:00), which is completely reasonable. He came by multiple times, once claiming we were “8 minutes off pace” whatever that means. We were literally waiting on the group ahead of us at several holes. Instead of enjoying a relaxing round, we spent much of it being interrupted, which r…
