In summary

North Woodmere Golf Course is appreciated for its straightforward and accessible 9-hole layout, making it suitable for beginners and those seeking a quick round. While the greens are generally in decent condition, there are consistent concerns about the maintenance of the fairways, tee boxes, and driving range, with outdated equipment and poor upkeep frequently mentioned. Additionally, the presence of mosquitoes, particularly during warmer months, is a notable drawback for many visitors.

You may need to bring a hammer with you in the tee box. It is hard and difficult to put your tee in. Fairways have not been maintained well enough. Dead grass and all type of weeds are all over the fairways. Greens are ok… not recommending to anyone. Most golf balls and equipment at the range are at the grandpa’s age. Only good thing there is the putting green.

The course itself is in fairly decent shape greens roll okay, and conditions are playable. But the driving range? Might as well be hitting rocks. Mats are worn out, balls are beat to death. Worth a round if you’re local, but skip the range.

Great place for a 9 hole game. Course not to differcult. Could use a bit of grooming but acceptable Minimal goose poop.

The greens are in pretty good shape, but I was surprised by how much exposed dirt and dead or dying grass there was off of the fairways. Not related to the golf course, but the building and bathrooms are an absolute mess. Disgusting! It looks like nothing was replaced or maintained since the 60's. As a resident of Nassau County, this really upsets me.

the range balls haven't been replaced since I started playing 8 years ago. This place is a joke but it's convenient to get to 🤷‍♂️. Upping the price of the range but not replacing the balls is peak Nassau County golf.

A great little course. It's in excellent shape right now. Mario is the club pro and he has really helped my game in a real way. A fantastic teacher.

It's a nice local 9 hole course. Easy to play. Great for beginners or people who want to play quickly and easily. The greens are a little inconsistent and the condition is generally good but not ideal. It's very busy in the summer so come prepared or avoid it when the weather is hot and humid.

It’s in last place of all the golf courses that I have visited in Nassau and Suffolk. Poorly maintained greens and tee boxes, no maintenance of signage have been the low bar for quite a while. The driving range are awful, especially the mats. Eisenhower, Merrick, even Cantiague are improving. They are far ahead of this sad place

Ive played here many times but today was ceazy. We were getting ready to walk on the first tee when I saw a few guys walking very fast off the course warning us not to go out there. They had a swarm of mosquitos attacking them as they were walking off. They were actually bleeding from the bites. We then started getting swarmed. Needless to say we didn't go out and the woman at the tee box was very nice about refunding our green fees. Tbey get 3 stars for being an OK 9 hole course .... But the bugs are the issue

Course is simple, straightforward, flat. Perfect to get a game of 9 holes in anytime. P.S. there is a driving range, you just have to ask.

Mosquito death trap should be recognized as a health hazard by Nassau County. Played 1 hole had to call it quits, no wonder why there are a bunch of open tee times. Waiting on a refund from Nassau County. Save yourself from the pain of playing here.

Played there today had a wonderful day I'm sure the bugs get brutal like everyone says but that's what happens when you're Outdoors near the marsh land and the water bring bug spray be prepared and enjoy yourself.
