I wanted to give this place 5 stars because it was in great shape and is as equally challenging as it is enjoyable, but unfortunately the members had to negatively affect the whole experience. The starter was going around quite frequently so we thought he was attempting to manage pace of play but apparently only for non members who were not causing any issues. We paired up with a twosome who started 40 minutes before us. They told us they have been stuck behind a foursome of members who were insufferable on every hole. They wouldn’t hit off the tee box until the green was cleared even on par 5…

16 of us played no discount $80 for the round! Inconsistent greens sloped tee boxes and plenty of rough patches in the fairways! Will definitely never play here again unless they drop the prices it’s a 50-60 dollar course!

Played this course on May 8th 2023. From the moment I dropped off my bag I was greeting by great customer service from the two gentleman in the parking lot. They made me feel welcomed to the course. I also could immediately tell from the practice facilities that this was going to be a great experience. The course is pretty wide open with a little danger but not much. Greens rolled consistent and true. Maybe only 2 holes that had a few patches but nothing crazy. Fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes in great condition as well although maybe 4 fairways had been punched for seeding. I highly recommend…

My wife and I had the pleasure of playing at Cypress head golf course today. It has been a couple years since we played there and found that the course was in excellent condition. The staff in the pro shop and outside were amazing. Very friendly and professional. The Golf Course itself was in really good shape. The greens, Fairways and Rough were in immaculate condition. I am looking forward to playing there Very soon.

Actually 4.5 stars because of pricing. Course in good shape. Greens were true but need to be cut and rolled. Pace of play was normal.

I’ve been playing Cypress Head for over 25 years, and it’s hands-down one of the best tracks in Volusia and all of Central Florida. The course has always been in amazing shape — super consistent, fun layout, and a great challenge for any golfer. And check out Hole 6… because that’s officially my lucky hole now! I recently got a hole-in-one during a fantastic charity tournament put on by the Bisons Baseball Team — and walked away with a brand-new truck! Unreal experience. The Cypress Head team was absolutely amazing from start to finish and made the whole thing feel even more special. This w…

Best public golfing in Volusia county. For $30-$60 a round, fantastic condition of greens, fairways, and tee boxes. Sadly, no matter how great the course is, can’t fix my 28 handicap (05/28/25)

Super friendly staff! We mistakenly reserve to play on last Saturday afternoon online. We were trying to book today… When we arrived they did not have our teatime. We went and explain the situation to Suzanne, she was super nice and the starter got us on right away. Beautiful course! Lots of wildlife to see, raccoons, wild turkeys, and egrets. Course was in great shape greens Road true

Always a localfavorite, very good layout and challenging from the tips, feels.more like a country club than a public course. Nice condition with good greens, can be very wet after a good downpour as its slow draining and makes it very soft fairways and cart only so walking makes it a longer round. Good pricing, great range, good service and club house.

A great golf outing on all counts. The course is in fabulous condition with manicured greens and fairways and enough contour to make it fun and challenging. But more importantly, you are greeted with a smile and helping hand. The staff there is amazing, there was iced bottles of water on the carts and at the turn we were greeted by a ranger who offered icy cold lemony face towels. Very welcomed on a 96 deg. day. Thank you! Great job!

The 9/11 golf outing was very good except for the luncheon which was poorly organized (never found our assigned table) and food ran out multiple times and was poor quality and cold. Have done at least a dozen outings at Cypress Head, and all have been disappointing from the food/lunch after perspective. Leslie does a fantastic job organizing it all, though.

City owned course with some outstanding views and challenging holes. Play Red, Gold, White, Blue or Black. Prices are very reasonable. Kids summer camps and weekend challenges are worth the money. Kids use the range for free if they participate. And get discounted golf throughout the week. Super friendly staff. Nice club house and good restaurant & bar.
