In summary

Tex Consolver Golf Course is widely appreciated for its well-maintained greens, long fairways, and the opportunity to encounter local wildlife such as deer and turkey. The course is considered both fun and challenging, appealing to a range of skill levels with its open layout and minimal water hazards. While the staff generally receives positive remarks, some visitors have experienced issues with customer service and slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience.

Long, wide open golf course with big greens, Drivers and long irons on many holes. Looks great in the growing season. Not uncommon to see deer and turkey on the course, especially in late evening.

Excellent public golf course. Includes several longer par fours, so this course rewards good drives off the tee and accurate fairway play. It can get a little crowded during the summer and on weekends.

The course is gorgeous! But when you pay 70 bucks and have some guy rush you every hole tell your party to hurry up and play “ready” golf, and being harassed every other hole. This guy for real camps out at the holes and watches you. Time police. Never playing there again. Unless they get all new staff. Absolutely ridiculous.

Nice course particulars given that is is public. Course was in pretty good shape in September and it does have enough water to make it interesting

Very nice course and my son loves First Tee Greater Wichita... When we approached the front desk about First Tee, since it was our first time ever doing it, the front desk (older man) clerk was VERY RUDE! He looked at us like we were crazy and said in a snappy tone of voice, "That has nothing to do with us! They just use our course." His response was uncalled for and caught me off guard. After experiencing this I would not want to pay money here to deal with rude customer service.

It's the hardest course according to slope rating in Wichita, but it doesn't play like that it's just long. It's a very fun course to play with some challenging holes. You even get some wildlife encounters with your round with all the deer that populate that area. Practice facilities are very nice with a long range and 2 greens for chipping and putting. Overall it's one of my first options to play when going with friends since there's really no real OB danger and very little water on the course.

The course was in fantastic condition during my visit today, mid-June. Not too busy considering a 10am tee time on Father's Day, but the two of us were paired with another couple anyway. Pace of play was almost flawless. Spent less than 5 minutes waiting on the threesome ahead and a single walker caught up to us at 16. Overall a fantastic experience, and I have every intention of returning.

We usually go as a group of four and were average Joe golfers. Every time we go though, its fun. The course is not that difficult, I would say beginner to intermediate level. The greens are kept well and people are nice. We never feel rushed by people. Definitely one of our favorite places to go.
