In summary

Auburn Hills Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful layout, well-maintained greens, and challenging yet enjoyable design. The staff is often highlighted for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the course offers good amenities, including a new restaurant and practice facilities. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, overbooking of tee times, and occasional maintenance concerns on the fairways and greens.

Awesome course! Everything was laid out perfectly -- the cart paths, the picture of each hole with yardage, distance, water hazards, OB's, distance markers in immaculate smooth fairways, and the greens were absolutely phenomenal! I can't wait to go play again there soon!

The course was in good condition, but some of the fairways had multiple dead spots. Greens are in good shape. Service was friendly, but they didn't have coolers for our drinks. Challenging yet playable course.

I played this course recently for a charity, resilient warrior by Rainer Arms. The course is really good and has the right set up between par fours and fives with a splash of water hazards on par threes. Trees are good for shade but not my golf balls...... The greens are extremely well kept and the sand traps are nicely done. Now the fairways, they are robust and can fool the player into a bad lay so play them smartly. The whole setup is so well done you'll fly through the 18 and be back for more. Sidenote, like so many other courses you'll need a set of clubs for each player, NO SHARING. Ho…

Just picked up the game and takes a few more strokes than the average player. Club house was called by a group behind my son and I. The manager came out and told us to go faster. We let the caller play through and he proceeded to bully my son and I. We all pay taxes for public courses and the people of Wichita should be able to learn the game without threats of violence by better players.

I would highly recommend Sim over this course. The course does have more complex holes with water features and dog legs, but the greens are not well kept. Lots of weeds and sticks, twigs and leaves. We did not see anyone actively working to maintain, but you did see the course Marshall many many times. Not sure what he was on the hunt for, but if you like oversight this would be a good course.

Beautiful course and very reasonably priced. It is somewhat of a hard course for high handicap players. A lot of sand bunkers, way too many in my opinion. There is also a lot of water, but it seldom comes I to play. (Unless you have a problem with slicing. 😀) The staff is outstanding g and very helpful. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. My only real issue is they seem to allow way too many singles and twosome during the busiest times of the day. Our foursome ended up having to let 7 single golfers or twosome play through us.

In town for work, drove hour total to this course for a tee time at 6:10 only the back 9 and cart path only. Upon arriving there's 5 groups in front of me waiting to tee off. With it being 6:05pm and 11 people in line to tee off at hole 9 I just left. Its Tuesday evening, no reason to be this over booked on tee times. Waste of time energy and gas. Was looking forward to playing here.

Great muni in Wichita. Poured for two hours prior to our round. Fairways were firm and greens handled that water like a champ. Nice conditions.

Very nice public course, great value to play 18. Course had nice practice facilities, at range you actually hit off grass vs pad which is nice. They put the money into the course, good condition tee boxes, fairways, and challenging greens. Cons - plays a bit slow, other aspects of property are a bit tired. Overall nice place to play and a fun set up.
