Susquehanna Valley Country Club

Scheduled the venue at the Susquehanna Valley country club for a leap year wedding. Jennifer was wonderful to work with, and the food was amazing. We had lots of different food choices and combinations that we were able to pick from for our reception dinner, our guest were very pleased. We had a small wedding service with just family in front of the large fireplace. It was picture perfect. We had plenty of photos outside of the venue in front of the pond and some others with the golf course behind us, really cool views. Larry is a treasure. He is aware of all the details and the food is great! His years of experience have really made a difference in your dining experience! We recently ate at the club with a new cook, not chef! It was inedible! What were you thinking?! We won’t be back!

Tuesday night dinner special for couples is delightful. Excellent service, clean building, and wonderful view of the sunset.

I would be remiss to give to this day, anything other than an exceptional score of 5. After all, I enjoyed a great day with an old friend who was extremely gracious, having invited me and covered my greens fees. As for the course, it was my first time, and i enjoyed the layout. The course was coming into nice green color, and evidence of that plush brilliant green color that elevates any course beauty was "in play" throughout the course. First time golfing there...staff was awesome, fellow golfers courteous and friendly, for a Saturday morning it wasn't overloaded with golfers, course is nice with some challenging holes...looking forward to golfing there again.

My family made reservations for dinner and we waited half an hour past our time to be sat when there were 4 other tables in the whole place. We were then sat at a dirty table that had crumbs and stickiness on it. When we told the service staff they scoffed at us and said “then move tables” instead of cleaning it up. We ordered drinks at the bar which was the best part of the whole experience. We ordered food that took over an hour to come out. I’ve been to this course about three times now. I live in the Altoona area and come out here for work on occasion. The course itself is very interesting and well done. Upkeep is great and staff is always friendly. Plus pricing for a full 18 is super reasonable. I highly recommend this course!

This country club was clean and the staff were seriously busy, but courteous enough to multitask and keep the restaurant part happening. They had a super good band playing, Blue River Soul and neon ( play in the dark) golf, the night I was there. The men's shower area was very clean and the grounds were stately. The view from the dining patio was particularly beautiful...of the whole eastern Susquehanna Valley and hills over this way. Was there for a banquet only ... but very nice building! Clean, in good shape, good dance floor. Easy to find along Rt15. The bar area was well stocked. Staff was very friendly, on top of taking care of everything. Quick at setting up the meal, always cleaning up the tables and area. They did a fantastic job, will be happy to return again.

Good course. Greens were really slow. Didn't see a ranger yesterday. Got stuck behind some really bad golfers.

We used SVCC as our wedding venue. Throughout the entire process, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. We were so thrilled with the facilities, employees, and logistics. The rooms were beautiful, the view is phenomenal, and the food was absolutely outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone looking for the venue for their special day!
