In summary

Bucknell Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with many visitors appreciating the scenic setting and amenities such as the clubhouse and driving range. However, some golfers have expressed dissatisfaction with the management of tee times and customer service, particularly regarding the enforcement of cart return policies and interactions with the course ranger. While many find the course enjoyable and a good value, there are occasional concerns about pace of play and the condition of certain course features.

Not sure why it took me so long to play this course? The grounds were super clean, the fairway and greens were all well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The fellow golfers were just as friendly. The food was great! Ice cold beer was a plus. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Will definitely be back!

Played August 16th (with my daughter who will be back here for her first college event in a few weeks) - great golf course!!! Tough but playable. Really enjoyed it, every hole was unique and very interesting.

Paid on golf now for 18 holes with cart, played 9 and teed off and immediately one of the staff drove up to our ball and took it and yelled at us and said “6:30 carts need to be in.” We were never told carts need to be in at 6:30. A tee time should not be available if you can’t play the whole course. Honestly just bad business and rude customer service. Would rate the course 2/5 stars, average kept but course design was poor. Would not recommend for price and customer service.

Place won't ever get another dollar of mine. Went golfing for the first time there with my 60+ year old dad and they kicked us off the course at 6:30 p.m. with 2 holes still to play because "all carts need to be returned by 6:30 p.m." Nobody told us that before we started, and they certainly didn't have a problem taking my money. We paid for a full price round and were told it was their "twilight rules". Last I checked, twilight rates should be less than full price. Also, my brother complained in the pro shop and we told "we could have walked the last two holes". My dad just had a double knee…

Played here about a dozen times over the years while coming to the area to visit family. Always been a fun place to play. This last visit, about three weeks ago, the course was in the finest condition I have ever seen a golf course, anywhere. ANYWHERE. I have played courses in the south, out west, Hawaii, New England, and Europe and Bucknell University Golf Course was hands down, without question in the best shape of any of them. Pace of play was quick. The greens were fast and true even though the course wasn't dry at all; fairways and rough were fine and thick respectively. Make no mistake…

First time playing. Had a great time right up until crotchety old members cursed up a storm that we were taking too long. Will definitely be playing again just probably not here.

Course was in full "fall" spectacle! Fall colors are really nice this year. Course is in excellent condition and greens have recovered nicely from aeration approximately 10 days ago.

Course is nice, the management sucks. We were a foursome playing a very reasonable, sub 4 hour pace on a Friday morning. Meanwhile the course ranger was tailing us the entire time, constantly badgering us to hurry up. The reason was that they booked the rest of the tee times around us for singles and two somes. How are you going to justify ruining someone’s round because you booked a course full of singles? We stopped at the turn for a hot dog and the ranger ushered two groups through us, stating that we weren’t moving fast enough. Listen, if we were slow, I’d admit that. But we weren’t. The…

Course is ok. Lots of black rot strong on the greens. Poor drainage throughout. Nicely maintained bunkers and fairways. Not a fan of the tee boxes randomly in the fairways for seniors. I wouldn't go out of my way to play here again

First let me say this course is beautiful and the pro shop attendant was very nice. I struggled with leaving this review, however if you are newer to golf you should go to another course. unfortunately a group of men were rude and unprofessional, harassing us to the point of making us leave the course. The attendant offered to refund our money as soon as I walked into the pro shop without me even asking for it. Obviously this has happened before. I doubt our group would go back despite the wonderful employee who apologized over and over for these childish men.
