In summary

Shade Mountain Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, friendly and helpful staff, and affordable pricing. The layout offers a mix of open fairways and wooded challenges, appealing to golfers of various skill levels. The on-site restaurant receives positive feedback for its quality food and service, although there are occasional complaints about slow service and minor issues with food quality. Some visitors also mention the presence of bothersome gnats and the course's remote location as potential drawbacks.

Nice layout. Fairways and green conditions good. 4 and a half hour round today with some slow down for downpours. Wide open on the front nine. Back nine is more woodsy. Very good course EXCEPT the gnats are terrible. We used OFF AND vanilla (which usually does well) and they were still very bothersome in mid August.

I have to say that the restaurant is fabulous. Pricing is great and the food is phenomenal. And then after you can either play golf or you can go swimming which is not even a hop skip and a jump away. In the picture is a taco salad and a BLT with fries

Friendly staff, well maintained. Definitely is one of the shortest courses I've played but punishing when you don't position yourself off the tee correctly. Being all the way from southern PA I'm not sure I would make the trip to play it again as it is a two hour drive for myself and is an all around average golf course.

I don't frequent here, but they had a wonderful family friendly Easter all you can eat buffet, and gave me the feeling impression that they would be a very home-town friendly style country club golf course welcoming to everyone.

Service was slow. Pancakes were dry and completely crumbled when cut, had to eat the 3 bites I took with a spoon. Even though 2 of us had ordered pancakes and couldn't eat them, no adjustments were made to our checks. Home fries were good. First and last time to go to Divot's.
