In summary

Lykens Valley Golf Resort is praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, well-maintained greens, and enjoyable course layout, making it a favored destination for both local and visiting golfers. The Swing restaurant receives high marks for its excellent food and service, contributing to a positive overall experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as dead grass on fairways and understaffing, which can affect the quality of play and service.

S Wing night! Priced similarly to national chains, the quality puts the others to shame. There is a nice selection of about 20 sauces. But the S Wings you can tell came from a meat bird. They are easily the largest wings I have had at a restaurant.

For the most part, the courses in good shape are some ground under repair and some of the old sand shops now have grass growing in. The only thing I would say that is a negative is they seem under staffed.

Local course, honestly one of my favorites. Fairways and greens are pretty well maintained.

We did the play and stay for the weekend. Rooms were clean but the beds were small. The food in the Swing is absolutely AMAZING. The course was not in the best of shape because of the lack of rain, but they did maintain the greens. Overall we had a pleasant stay

Absolutely terrible greens! Putter has sand on it after every shot. Fairways were full of dead grass. Tee boxes weren’t maintained at all. Definitely won’t come back here. The pro shop staff seemed nice though.

There has to be a better way. Two waitresses are not enough. They have to cover the patio, the bar and the dining room. When there are reservations for a table of 14, and other parties up to 8, then walk ins as well, there just isn't enough staff and the service suffers.. meal was excellent but glad we weren't in a hurry.

A lovely little gem hidden in the valley. A full Golf course plus driving range, restaurant and a 27 room lodge are all part of this resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good at the restaurant and the owner and manager both walk around and check with guests to make sure everything is okay and to thank them for their business.

We used the banquet room in building B for a small family affair. It was very nice, neat, and clean. Would recommend if you have a small affair and want a private facility. Overlooked the golf course.
