In summary

Sunrise Country Club was appreciated for its friendly atmosphere, affordable pricing, and enjoyable layout, making it a favored spot for many golfers over the years. However, some visitors noted that the course conditions had deteriorated, with dry and patchy fairways and slow greens. The club has since closed, leaving many patrons with fond memories of their time there.

Played there twice a year for almost 15 years while the wife shopped at Sawgrass, was warned the end was coming. Did not realize my last round there, was actually going to be my last round there. Just found out yesterday when the gates would not open. I loved that little course and all those iguanas. More condos not needed.

A nice forgiving layout and about as inexpensive as you can get in this area. However, fairways are not watered and are parched, dormant or just plain patchy. Was probably quite the course in its younger days. Greens watered, but long cut meant they were pretty slow. Two locals that I golfed with said the property has been sold and it is zoned for housing, but when that will happen is anyones guess. I can see why this will be closing down, but I can't see houses being sold here either. Everything seems a little run down.

Sad to see this place go. I'm glad I got to play it recently. I have a lot of good memories from this place.
