In summary

Stone Mountain Golf Resort is praised for its beautiful mountain setting, challenging layout with narrow fairways, and affordable pricing. The course is well-maintained, offering spectacular views and a friendly, welcoming staff. However, some golfers mention the difficulty of the terrain, with steep slopes and blind shots, and note that the golf carts and some course areas could use improvement.

I drove 1 hr 15 mins to this course to chase a new golfing experience insanely priced for $10 for 18 holes on golf now app. No expectations but had so much fun after 18 holes, I signed up for another 18 after concluding the first round round in only 2.5 hrs. It's a Billy Goat course but beautiful views, tight fairways, narrow greens and welcoming staff members. It was a pleasure to get away from the same course regiment and enjoy the altitude.

This is a very interesting golf course. The fairway is very narrow and there are many hills. It was very fun to hit the ball far from the hill. It was like a high mountain, and the hilly mountains could be seen in the distance and the scenery was very beautiful. It was difficult to drive a cart because of the steep slope. The green was very sandy and rough. It was nice to enjoy golf fun in the mountains at a very cheap price. I lost a lot of balls, but I also picked up a lot though. I want to come again on my next trip.

If you looking for Augusta this isn't it. However if you are looking for the tightest fairways and small undulating greens that are surprisingly good for the price give Stone mountain a go. Just outside the state park the deer are everywhere and I mean everywhere! We saw no less than 20 during the round. The course is carved on the side of a mountain and little was done to change the terrain so there are many tough lies and some blind shots to boot. What this course lacks in distance it more than makes up for in character. Put the driver away as most holes require pinpoint accuracy from the te…

Very nice staff and beautiful grounds! Great views, reasonable green fees, and a layout to accommodate all golfers. I do lament the number of golf balls I lost, but I enjoyed the challenging holes.

This is my favorite course ❤️ They keep the course maintained and all the staff are super friendly. Marge(the doggo) over the club house is my favorite staff. She always splits my hot dogs with me. 😊 I always recommend this course to all my golfing buddies.

Course is in the best shape it’s been in some time and they recently redid almost all of the cart paths. Spectacular views and an overall fun course to play for all ages. You can make eagles and you can make snowmen from one hole to another!

Challenging mountain course that is very well maintained for the price, very quiet with a few really nice views, the club house is not fancy but overall definitely worth checking out

The incompetence of the staff at this course is why no one plays here anymore , 8 people in one group on a Sunday no less

Nice course and great value for what you are getting. If you are a beginner and cannot control your shots, beware. This course is tight and an errant shot will be costly to the scorecard. My first time there I shot 10 over my normal handicap.
