I had a great time learning from the coaches there. Went on the driving range, course, and the chipping green. The coaches were great and they were willing to help me fix some problems with my swing. The course is well maintained and well designed. A great golf course, even though I suck at golf.

I play golf here 3-4 times a week. It’s an incredible public course that’s really well maintained. My favorite time of year to play at Sterling farms is in October. The foliage and views are priceless. I really appreciate that the grounds crew clears the leaves and keeps the course in pristine shape even into late November. The staff are great. Helen who runs the pro shop is a delight, and Carl one of the starters is always a pleasure to chat with. I do wish they had a monthly membership to the range for regulars like myself. I purchase a large bucket $16 4/5 times a week which adds up. Howev…

A huge thank you to Keith and the Sterling Farms Golf Shop for fitting me and custom ordering my new irons and wedges! The clubs are best I've ever hit, and I'm finding it hard to put them down. I also take lessons with Keith, so it's particularly confidence inspiring to have had my clubs made by an outstanding teacher who knows my swing and where we're trying to take it. Thanks again for a truly great experience. Whether for lessons or gear, this is the place to come - and it's still worth the trek to me even though I've moved to Long Island!

This is a very nice course well maintained, nice layout. Lots of different lies, before you play brush up on hitting shots from uphill lie, down hill lies. The course has everything you need before starting your rounds, driving range, chipping and even bunker practice area. The course it self in excellent shape and greens are fast. Well be returning with my clubs again.

Classy, upscale clubhouse with a warm atmosphere and a homey feel. Great place to relax, share your musings on life, and bond over delicious food and drinks. Plenty of parking available, enough to accommodate the capacity of every building on the premises. The staff are extremely nice and very professional - tip them well! We reserved the clubhouse for a 90th birthday/family reunion and they took care of everything from catering, music, bartending, etc.. for an entire evening!!! Amazing time that we will never forget :D

Terrible customer service. I am new to golf and asked the worker which clubs he recommended and he gave a nasty attitude like he was annoyed. He even claimed to be the manager which makes it even more shocking.

Great driving range, it’s not very crowded and the balls are reasonably priced. It’s great coming here alone or with friends!

Horrible!! Sterling farms golf shop would not honor my “2” measly golf lessons that had NO expiration date, a total embarrassment for a once nicely run organization, new management is rude and un-appreciative of their patron customers, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE highly suggest going to another golf shop and golf course

Sterling Farms had been my "home course" for the 30 years we lived in Connecticut - first in Stamford then Trumbull. I've enjoyed seeing it mature and change gracefully over the years. With the high volume of play it receives, it has always been maintained beautifully. Now that we live in Brooklyn, NY, Sterling Farms is a "destination course" for me and I return to it frequently to join my friends for a round. It is always worth the drive. I have remarked to my friends many times that for me the golf course is my cathedral ... the blue sky, fresh air, green grass and trees - there is no plac…

Sterling Farms is like a second home for me in that all the staff is friendly and helpful including management, ticket office, on course rangers, and restaurant staff. Angela and her golf shop staff is especially amazing and offer great teaching and merchandise assistance & fitting. And the course would not be where it is today if it were not for the vision, hard work, and dedication of our superintendent Mike and his staff.
