In summary

Stamford Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful setting, well-maintained greens, and challenging layout that appeals to both experienced golfers and beginners. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, and the on-site restaurant receives positive remarks for its food and atmosphere. However, some visitors have reported inconsistent service experiences and noted that certain areas of the course, such as the fairways, could benefit from further maintenance.

Do residents know how lucky they are to have this gem? Nice club house, decent food, drink, and company at 90's prices. Beautiful course, rolling hills, views of mount utsayantha. Grounds crew treats this place as a labor of love and it shows. Hope locals continue to support this amazing place!

The 4 stars is the average grade overall. The staff to include the pro shop, the restaurant, and the members we talked with were very nice. The views around the course are great. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The greens were in great shape. Some reviews said they were fast but they are not. The course is on the side of a mountain so there is a lot of slope. If you are putting above the hole the ball rolls out a lot. All of the above was 5 stars. The rest is 2 or 3 stars. The layout is ok. One tee box you have to drive the ball through a narrow opening. It’s hard to tell the differe…

Service was slow, considering there were only 10 other ppl there. We sat outside overlooking the golf course. I asked for water as did my friend, she got water, I did not. As we viewed the very limited menu, I asked for a drink menu and was told it was inside. Our waitress could not tell me what they had for cider or wine. So I went inside and there was no drink menu. The waitress pointed to the empty cans above the bar, saying this what we have. Our food came. It was hot. However, the waitress did not check on us until she saw we were finished. We got the bill and questioned the 4% fee when u…

Peppercorn on the hill is a phenomenal place to get food and drinks. Cashier in pro shop was very hospitable. Mike, the guy who runs the pro shop, is extremely disrespectful and rude. I’d recommend that the golf club find another person to run the pro shop and does not yell at paying customers for no reason. He is not suitable for a public relations position. We will not return to this golf course due to one person. If you’re looking to have a nice day of golf with your friends, do not waste your time here to deal with the attitude of Mike. You’re better off going directly to the bar where you…

We had a great time at our party. Food was great and abundant, service was great, management was fantastic, building was nice too but the view from the porch was AMAZING. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch. They have a wonderful row of rocking chairs to relax in and take in their amazing view. So sorry I was so busy enjoying it I forgot to take a picture. I guess you'll just have to wait to be rewarded if you go check it out yourself!

We had a memorial gathering there for my sister's husband who had past. The staff was wonderful. The food was tasty. The view was terrific. We were collectively happy that we shared our time together at this golf club in honor of my brother-in-law. Thank you Stamford Golf Club for accommodating us.

Played this morning, this place is awesome. These were the fastest greens I've ever played on. Top notch job to pro shop staff to accommodate me. For 37$ with cart, you can't beat that anywhere. Greens crew gets an A+ for wet conditions all season long. Will definitely be back!

Challenging, beautiful course with an excellent restaurant and the friendliest, most accommodating staff of any golf course in the Catskills. It's an out-of-the-way gem that's worth the drive. The clubhouse is after the 14th hole, so save your appetite for the Bogey Club Sandwich!

The golf course was in good shape. It's not the longest but play is challenging due to its up and down the hills holes with greens that test your ability with many breaks. I truly recommend anyone to go play this course, it's well worth your trip.

We had a meal here and everything was okay. We went to the Mother's Day buffet. My ice tea tasted like instant but it was okay. The service was neither over nor underwhelming. It was okay. The food itself was okay. Out of the pork roast, the ham and pineapple dish and the lasagna (the primary entree dishes on the buffet) the lasagna was best. Everything else was just okay. Cloth napkins were nice but no table cloths, in contrast, seemed at odds (is it a diner or a restaurant?). My wife and I had tea and coffee and the sugar was rationed at 3 sugar packets per cup, which struck me as odd. Lots…

Pretty good course. Was excited to play here for the first time until the lady at the pro shop checked us in for our reservation. She was very rude and condescending. Won't be coming back just because of her.
