In summary

Hanah Mountain Resort and Country Club is praised for its well-maintained golf course, scenic setting in the Catskill mountains, and friendly staff, which contribute to a positive experience for many guests. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the closure of the pool and hot tub without prior notice, cleanliness issues, and perceived management shortcomings, which have affected their overall impression of the resort.

The course is in great shape. The rooms are good enough - you're there to golf, not for luxury accommodations. The food is very good and the staff is very good. My favorites are Rick the starter, PM dining room worker Violet (whom we’ve affectionately nicknamed “Ultraviolet”), and AM dining room worker Dawn (who is very, very pleasant). Miss the hot tub and pool, which are under construction, but will go back year after year.

I've stayed here years ago a few times and always considered it a nice resort. This time around the Room was adequate but what really irritated me is that it was advertised as having a pool and hot tub but they were closed for maintainence. So if I'm not getting the full experience why am I paying the regular amount which used to include said hot tub/ pool. When I brought that up the woman at the desk said I was notified at the time of booking. Which I figured I'd call first after booking and that's when I was told it was closed for maintenance. Again something that really should have been adv…

Nested in the quiet and beautiful Catskill mountains, Lovely views and relaxation. A beautiful place to stay I thought... at least on the outside. Management with zero accountability who treat their staff horribly and their paying customers not much better. Was really hoping for a good stay until I found out on the same day I was supposed to stay they fired a mother that had lack of child care that just wanted to bring her baby to work so she could afford to take care of her. Not only taking away her job. But financial stability for her family and house hold without waring or notice. Just fire…

Great place to stay but in the bathroom the soap dispenser leaked all over the sink. Also I had been here before and I was so exited to get to go into the pool and hot tub but it was not open and it made me upset because why not write that on the page so people know. Over all it was nice but I would not stay there for more then 3 days.

Only issue is no breakfast. All others are excellent. Clean and warm.

This place has gone downhill, rooms are dirty, staff is less then friendly. The golf course is the only thing that's in good shape. It's time to sell the place to someone who can bring it back to a resort. So sad.

I have never visited the property and now I have no desire to ever visit…I have been trying to plan a rehearsal dinner and this place was recommended to me by the Binnekill Tavern as they have temporarily shut their doors…I called 3x over the course of a week and every single time the person in charge of events was unavailable. I was told they would call me back and each time I left my contact information along with my email and no one ever called me back……..is this how you run a successful business? By never following up on an inquiry…….??? I will gladly take my money and business elsewhere.

My friends and I have been going to Hanah for about 10 years now, and the resort has just gotten better every year. The golf course is in great shape and has challenges for every skill level. The clubhouse and the guest rooms are rustic, always clean and inviting. The pool, hot tub and sauna are very welcome after 18 holes. In all the times we've visited, we have never had a less than stellar meal and this year was no exception. I'd also like to give a shout out to Rachel at the front desk and to all of the staff. Their friendliness and welcoming attitude are a big reason we keep coming back t…

This is a review after our stay at the Hanah House, the private cabin at Hanah Mountain Resort. I and 5 other guests rented the Hanah House for two nights while in town for a wedding. The biggest complaints: The Hanah House was not clean, amenities were broken, and we were treated dismissively by the Hanah manager, Deb. Shortly after checking in, we noticed the heat was not working. We called into the main lobby, and maintenance promptly came and turned on the heat to the bedrooms and left a space heater in the main room until they could fix it the next day. I was very pleased about how quick…

This is a lovely mountain setting, but for the cost of the room I expected more refined lodgings. We appreciated that the facility was sparsely populated, as this was our first hotel outing post-covid. We had the pool a D hot tub to ourselves. There were no options for good at 7 am on a Saturday (the main building was locked) , so my early-rising daughter and husband ended up with chocolate chip pancakes at a gas station. Some menu items were unavailable at dinner, but the service was good and the waitstaff helpful and attentive to our table of 9. They did accommodate our preference for outs…

This is supposed to be a resort??? It is worse than a motel. - There is no one at the front desk from 11p to 7a ….no one to assist …what if there is an emergency….what if the ac in your room suddenly stops…. - our room smelled very musty and upon trying to go to sleep we realized there were mites or something very wrong with the bedding …..we were very itchy …and since it was after 11p there was no one to assist us ….THIS WAS A SUPERIOR ROOM?????? - we asked several times for a daily DETAILED statement of our charges which they were unable to provide even at checkout …no one at the front de…

My family and I travelled 2,000 miles to spend the holidays in the Catskills. As soon as I walked in the door, at Hanah, we felt like we were home. I love the staff here and how well they are running this place. Our room was, ofcourse, amazing. Nice and clean. Comfortable. Wonderfully hot water in the shower. Hanah will always be my Home away from Home.
