In summary

South Gate Golf Club is praised for its excellent course conditions, challenging yet fair layout, and friendly staff, with many visitors appreciating the scenic views and reasonable pricing. The club offers various amenities, including a driving range and cafe, though some guests have noted inconsistencies with posted rules and a lack of water availability when the cafe closes early. A few visitors experienced issues with customer service and logistical aspects, such as unclear signage and booking procedures.

We played here on a trip this Friday. Had never been before. Course was in excellent condition, pace of play was good and the staff was very friendly. Layout is a little bit confusing but signage was good throughout the course. Greens are fast and roll well. Great experience. Special thanks to the pro shop staff member who took pictures of our group after the round- he apparently has a side job as a photographer! Made great suggestions for us and we got great pictures! I’m sorry I can’t remember his name. Would go back for sure

Came to play this course over Labor Day weekend from out of town. We were almost not allowed to play because each player didn’t have their own set of clubs. Fortunately, the staff were kind enough to allow us to play this time. We had no idea this was a rule as there was nothing found on their website, and we were shown the rules as we were about to tee off (see image). Highly recommend posting the course rules on the website so people don’t travel to play just to potentially be turned away.

This place has a great layout and is extremely challenging but fair. The PGA professional Eron Deming is the nicest person ever. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and glad to be of assistance with anything related to golf. Thank you Southgate for the great time with my children......and sometimes hot moms golf Southgate!

Had a chance to play this city course while passing through. What a gem it is. Wonderful time, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Was cart path only after an overnight rain of nearly 2inches of rain. Course was still in great shape. Several risk/reward, layup or go for it holes. Good sized driving range, 2 practice putting greens. You have to try this course

The golf course was fun and hot. Not crowded but I think was because of the heat. The fairways were nice and the greens were fast. It was a good experience and really it was reasonable. Rent a cart! Because the heat will get to you if your not used to it.

Gavin provided exceptional costumer service from start to finish. My boyfriend has been itching to play St. George for a while now. He booked a last minute tee time in between his softball games and had a blast! Thanks for providing him with a great experience!

The course is in a good location. Beginning in an open and sunny layout and ending weaving through some beautiful houses in the hills. The fear of hitting a window is real! Overall it was a good experience and nothing stands out except for one thing that mattered the most to me personally. I am not a golfer, but I was not about to pass up an opportunity and invitation to spend some time with my family. I was not aware that there was a dress code (a strange concept to have one anyways) and I showed up in a tank top and basketball shorts. Even though they weren't exactly happy with it, they stil…

We like to play a course or two wherever we go, and I seldom review them, but this course was good enough to review. The course conditions were impeccable, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the views were great, and we had no issues or setbacks with anything. The three of us had a great evening at southgate. We'll be back the next time we're in St George!

Great city course with reasonable rates. I was surprised the tee boxes looked as good as they did. One part that threw me off. Is that they punched greens but they didn’t punch their putting green. It definitely caught my game off guard, but still a good time. Friendly staff was also a plus.
