In summary

Dixie Red Hills Golf Course is highly praised for its stunning red rock scenery, well-maintained greens, and affordable pricing, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors in St. George. The course is noted for its short, walkable 9-hole layout, which offers a mix of fun and challenging holes suitable for golfers of all skill levels. While the staff is generally described as friendly, some visitors have experienced issues with customer service and noted discrepancies in operating hours, as well as occasional slow play due to congestion on the course.

Had a great time at the course for the most part. Fun and quick 9 hole, not too challenging but does have some challenging parts. Very decently priced especially for St George golf. Hitting the rocks makes it real fun since your ball goes FLYING. The course is very walkable and is what I did. We did get stuck behind a group so play was a little slow. Driving range was good too. I did get yelled at for hitting off the grass though. They had signs out that were all conveniently turned around when I rolled up to the driving range so I saw none of them except for the "Sand for divots". During get…

First time playing this course in real life. I've played it a couple times on GS Pro golf simulator..it lives up to it. A beautiful fun course.

I’ve played 5 courses so far in St George and this was was by far my favorite. Even though it’s only a 9 hole course the first three holes were stunningly beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.

What an absolute gem in St. George! Dixie Red Hills Golf Course is pure magic—playing here feels like stepping into a postcard with those incredible red rock backdrops, sandstone cliffs, and lush green fairways contrasting the desert landscape. As the original St. George course (since the 1960s), it has so much character: short, walkable holes (perfect for a quick 9), unique doglegs, risk-reward shots around boulders and trees, and greens that keep you on your toes. The course is always in fantastic shape—well-maintained, fast greens, and super affordable (great value for southern Utah!). Frie…

Awesome golf course! First time playing here and just amazing views surrounded by red rock! I wish this was an 18 hole course.

Not the nicest course I’ve been to but still nice and for a municipal golf course, I’d give it 5 stars. Really gorgeous scenery. The holes are not very big so definitely not one for using your driver a lot, but personally as an amateur golfer I really enjoyed it. Tee times open up 2 weeks before and book out quick!

We just golfed here as a family over spring break. It was so beautiful! Great to do as a family. We did a scramble to keep us moving. Such a well kept golf course! We want to come here again.

Beautiful course with well kept greens, fairways, and tee boxes. The greens are quite wavy and a little tough to putt on but I found myself using all my clubs and having a lot of fun. People in the pro shop were nice as well. All for a very reasonable price compared to other courses nearby.

Beautiful setting, we appreciated the trees! The other 3 courses we played in 4 days were 18 holes. We appreciated this 9 hole course. It is in great shape and a lot of fun!

I took my dad here for a quick 9 when he was visiting me from the Midwest. He had a blast! Quick, easy, and affordable. I was able to book a tee time the night before online. And, THEY DO RENT CLUBS (had a hard time finding info about this online). Club rental was about $25 and cart was only $10. I would recommend this course to anyone, especially those visiting the area. Hole 3 was especially scenic, holes 7-9 were not part of the original course and can be easily skipped if short on time or if it's hot. We completed all 9 in under 2 hours.

Excellent inside staff. Announcements for next on the first tee are clear and understandable. A small merchandise area. Clean restrooms and quick snacks and drinks available. Course is in excellent condition. Tee boxes are set for all skill levels. Challenging layout in a confined area.
