In summary

Smoky Mountain Country Club is praised for its challenging and scenic course layout, featuring undulating fairways and stunning mountain views. The staff is frequently highlighted for their friendliness and hospitality, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While many appreciate the course's condition and value, some visitors note issues such as outdated carts and uneven cart paths, as well as a slow pace of play on occasion.

So last weekend, me and my wife ventured to the Smoky Mountain golf course in Newport Tennessee, where we live. They have new owners and they say more exciting things are coming in the future and there was some new owners I believe in the restaurant so that particular day we ordered Chicken wings as an appetizer for $13 we got seven wings and a couple of blue cheese. Blue cheese was amazing nice and thick done right I ordered the club sandwich and my wife ordered a cheeseburger with fries club came with fries. The traditional club is cut in 4/4. This was just cut in half. Not a big deal to me…

Course itself is in probably the best shape it's been in very challenging course club house staff are usually very welcoming however the guy that took over the lease of the place DOES NOT lIKE when golfers book a tee time with golf now and if he see you out he will give you a lecture on supporting local business by no means is this a 45$ weekend rate course would much rather play greysburg hills, the crossings, Patriot hills or Woodlakes for q little further of a drive if you don't want players to use golf now then take the course off the app!!!! I typically play a lot of golf in Newport but I…

Really challenging course with lots of undulation and amazing views of the mountains nearby. Pro shop also stocks some locally made merchandise too.

I wanted to give my old hometown course a shot after all the recent turmoil surrounding its closure and reopening. Facilities/Staff: The Good-The pro shop staff are extremely welcoming and very accommodating. You will feel taken care of. The range is grass with good yardages. Range balls are good enough for a municipal course. The Bad-The carts are very outdated with no attachments for washing clubs or balls. The cart paths are in extremely rough shape. I understand the cost involved with repaving, however, you almost need a Jeep on the back nine. Tee box monuments do not have trash cans. P…

Rolling fairways. Some tight shots for sure. Greens were a bit hard turning good shots into misses. Often to heavy a penalty. Bring your patience enjoy the view and the friendly folks (both employees and non employees) on the premisis.
