In summary

Shamrock Public Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained condition, challenging layout, and professional staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both golfers and event attendees. The venue is noted for its beautiful setting and quality amenities, including a popular restaurant and bar. However, some visitors mention concerns about the pace of play and occasional high pricing, though these are balanced by positive experiences with customer service and course improvements.

Greens, tee boxes, and fairways are all in really good shape. The course overall was great. It's a good layout and well taken care of. The price is a bit high for the area, but they are definitely putting the money back into the course. Update - Sep 2 2023 just had my wedding there. Everything was perfect! Many guests commented that it was the best wedding they have been to in a while! Love this place! Challenging course, great people. The course is in great shape! A couple bunkers are ground under repair, but you can tell they are working on improvements through the course. The twisted oak tavern is great too!

The events center here is a great venue. Slippery Rock University's faculty union holds events here annually, and I've never been disappointed. The staff is attentive, the food is good and the space is comfortable.

Course was nice, no food at the turn. Not even hot dogs on a Sunday. I have never been to a golf course in my life that did not have at least hot dogs and chips at the turn. Edit: I will bump to 3. If you do truly serve hot dogs, you should inform the person behind the bar that told us that you don't serve them.

The new owners Eric and Julie turned this golf club into a beautifully fun place to stay, play and eat. The events, music 🎶 and golf⛳outings were exactly what we needed on this vacation. Staying at the play and stay for a week was perfect, the restaurant, bar and event center is located below so we could sit to enjoy the views and entertainment day and night. We watched the morning putting and the front nine everyday! A perfect getaway for all family members - our 2.5 year old learned the basics of golf. This beautiful oasis is located in the heart of Pennsylvanian serenity, just an hour north…

What a happy accident this visit was! We drove up from Butler Tuesday to eat at a restaurant that turned out to be closed. We Gmapped restaurants and found this one nearby. Recent reviews have shown great improvement, so we decided to chance it. Wow, what a lovely setting, right on the course, on an absolutely beautiful day. Brianne served us with a genuinely friendly and accommodating manner. She made us feel like regulars on our first visit. I had the (Portabello) Mushroom Veggie Burger on a brioche bun with swiss and spinach. It was so good. My husband had the Fish and Chips, which I sample…

My wife and I just recently had our wedding reception at Slippery Rock Golf and Event Center and we were very pleased! All of our guests commented about how much they enjoyed the food and the hall! The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs and all were very pleasant , and the day after , we received a call from management to verify that we were satisfied with the service, which we greatly appreciated. We were also very satisfied with the overall cost, we felt that we definitely received our money’s worth ! I would definitely recommend Slippery Rock Golf and Event Center !

Beautiful course with sloping, rolling fairways and undulating greens. It is challenging but fair, and is in well kept condition. The restaurant and bar provides an awesome atmosphere with high quality food before and after a round, or for simply a bite to eat regardless of whether or not you’re playing golf.

All the Slippery Rock Golf Course employees are amazingly friendly. I didn't catch all of their names but Karen, Shawn & the others didn't have to be so nice with me being a total stranger, but they were. I loved the beautiful view on so many of the holes too, and the fairways were first rate. Sure, it didn't hurt that I my final score was excellent (for me) for never playing at SRGC before, but I definitely would have left this same positive review if I hadn't scored that well. So give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it!
