In summary

Shadow Hills Golf Course is generally praised for its well-maintained greens, varied layout, and courteous staff, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. Many visitors appreciate the professional atmosphere and the course's affordability, especially given its condition and amenities. However, some golfers have experienced slow pace of play and issues with tee time policies, particularly concerning single players.

The course is in horrible shape. It looks like they are doing no maintenance but charging more than the courses that are doing maintenance. The tee boxes and fairways are nothing but sand with not even dormant grass. This course was much better in the past but they have let it go and ruined a good layout.

I wanted to thank the maintenance guys at Shadow Hills for going the extra mile for me . I live across the street from the course. I requested they mow a certain area on their side of the street but the mower was to big for that space , so they got a smaller mower immediately and mowed that area for me . Thank you guys for being so courteous.

Just a professional, considerate laid back atmosphere.. No boneheads hitting up on us like one of the other courses we've been on. Everyone we met up with was polite and No one had their noses stuck in the clouds... Definitely will be back! Thank you!

The fairways were in good condition. The greens were soft and will hold your approach. Course manager working the intercom system announcing tee times was excellent.

I love playing at Shadow Hills. It's a great course for golfers at any skill level and the holes have a good variety of distances.

Came from out of town and decided to play here. Course was awesome. Only downside was the wait. Maybe because holiday weekend but the place was packed. Spent half the time waiting to play. Other then that no complaints and will definitely be back

Course is great, no complaints other than the weird tree placements in the middle of the fairway and random spots of rock. Other than that I enjoy Shadow hills. How ever the down fall begins when you get to the t box and have to wait 15 MINUTES to tee off on each hole! I have to wait longer on the T box than it takes me to play a hole or maybe even 2. There is destined to be at least 1 group (most of the time more than one) that backs up the entire course. Will be sitting on the T box with 2 - 3 groups on the same hole and 2 groups piled up behind us waiting to t off as well. A grand total of…

I've played golf all over the country and this is the only place that wouldn't allow me to book a tee time as a single. Im not asking to play alone, just throw me on with a twosome or threesome that was already booked so I could guarantee my spot and they won't do it. Dumbest policy I've ever heard of!

The course is a great layout, I played last Tuesday and the employee was super cool and I was going to play as a single but had my son and wife with me and I told the guy at the counter "Alex" I was going to let my son hit a few on a few holes. He charged me just as a single and he was cool with it, we didn't slow anyone down, we let people play through and was friendly. But went to go try to play yesterday and same situation, me playing and letting my son hitting a few on some, so we didn't hold anyone up behind us. I called to set a tee time, not once did he mention their has to be two playe…

Course is in great shape! One of the best ranges in Lubbock, if not the best! The staff was great, from Gilbert, Abby, to Tom and the rest of the staff! I played it with my son on 5/10/23, who graduated Ŧ on 5/12/23! Third time I’ve played this course and never disappointed. Wreck Em! ❤️🖤

Over priced and under maintained. The “Senior” community controls this course with their pace and rules they drive in greens and don’t fix divots. Went at a slow time so I could avoid the crowd and got told they don’t allow singles out to keep pace of place….with 10 cars in the lot yeah okay pal get over yourself 10/10 would not recommend if you want anything less than a 6 hour round behind a 6some.
