In summary

Meadowbrook Golf Club receives mixed feedback from visitors. Some appreciate the accommodating staff and well-maintained courses, enjoying their rounds and the overall experience. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding overcrowding, slow pace of play, and management issues, including cart availability and communication about policies.

Meadowbrook Golf Course in Lubbock is easily the most poorly run golf experiences you can find in Texas. First off, they absolutely cram the course with people. It is not just busy, it is borderline unplayable. You are waiting 15 to 20 minutes on almost every single shot. Golf is supposed to be relaxing, not a five hour test of patience where you spend more time standing around than actually playing. The pro shop does not make it any better. The staff comes off rude, unhelpful, and clearly more focused on squeezing as much money out of you as possible than actually providing any kind of dece…

Booked a tee time online for 1 player on Saturday 03/28 and when I arrived I told them my wife would be riding in the cart with me and I would need to pay a rider fee. The guy checking me in said that “only 2 carts per tee time and two players will be sharing a cart”. I have never heard of that before and quite frankly think that is ridiculous. They also said “on the weekends there are no spectators and it was their policy”. I have played here several times before and have never had an issue but I guess things have changed. They did offer me a rain check which I appreciated but just wanted to…

Very disappointing. Mismanagement has taken away from a nice course. Book a tee time to walk, arrived and found out that due to lack of carts , people were behind 20 - 30 minutes. On a course that already struggles with tee times. Patrons said this has been a recurring thing. AND golf cart manager was overheard saying to CONTINUE TO EXPECT delays going forward. Just got a raincheck and left. Hopefully it's honored bc on top of everything, printer doesn't work. Not complaining, just saddened.

This golf course has become so poorly ran lately. First of all they pack the golf courses so much that it takes forever to play. Secondly why would you make someone sit in the cart with a stranger? You have no idea what kind of sickness they have or where they have been. Last time we came out they didn't even have cart girls going around. It is becoming so poorly ran. Do better.

On weekends, courses limit carts to players because tee times and cart availability are tight. Spectators riding along take up seats meant for paying golfers, and it can slow things down—especially when riders start taking extra shots or treating it like practice, when they aren’t supposed to be playing anyway. That adds time to every hole. I only know this because I asked questions and interacted politely. Honestly, we’re lucky we were able to do that at all—most places don’t allow spectators at all. That’s why a lot of courses push that kind of thing to weekdays when it’s less crowded. Als…

Had a tee time for 9:10 . I realize I was playing as a single and wife was riding with me . And they said they didn’t have enough carts . I don’t care if I had groups in front of me. I just wanted to play . They didn’t tell me when I made the tee time they wouldn’t have enough carts for the morning… So I drive from Amarillo so they can tell me I can’t play. It’s just very frustrating..They give me a rain check to comeback another time .

Good course. Greenskeepers need to get some better sleep, because these were some of the worst pain placement I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen a pen place on a 45° angle before.

This isn't so much a review of the course we played canyon this past Sunday 120 tee time everything was great as we are all beginner golfers and never played the course at hole 9 a Black guy came over and basically insulted us stating we aren't golfers and were holding up the game and they would never be able to finish rather than argue we skipped a hole instead of asking to play through we get insulted for trying im also a black veteran and retired cop just rubbed me the wrong way probably wont play on the weekends now here but we still had fun never had any problems at any other course from…

This is strictly regarding booking: I had initially booked on a weekend in which weather was expected to be pretty good. Unfortunately there was a turn of events and it ended up raining throughout the weekend. I spoke with someone at the pro shop and they mentioned that they could provide me a credit that I can use at my disposal. Well about a month later I finally had some time to hit the course, called to utilize my credit and I am now being told that the credit expires within 7 days of the initial booking. I am usually understanding however the fact that I wasn’t provided this information…

Since reopening the course is constantly changing rules. The geo fences used for the carts need to be adjusted so ALL golfers can enjoy a round. I can understand the par 3's, but having to walk 40 yards to a tee box on a flat course makes you question what part of the population the course management wants on their course. If the course wants those over 60 playing the course make the course work for them. Played a round there today. Can't drive the carts in the parking lot. OK, then have a bag drop for the players. Can't get a cart unless you have your bag with you. How many times do we need t…
