In summary

Sandpiper Golf Club is generally appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and well-maintained greens and fairways, offering a challenging yet enjoyable golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, inconsistent maintenance of certain areas like tee boxes and bunkers, and operational challenges such as early pro shop closures and course overcrowding. Additionally, there are concerns about the condition of golf carts and occasional management issues affecting the overall experience.

Sandpiper Golf Club is in good shape as of this posting. The greens have been shrunken to save on maintenance costs but they are very puttable and true. The fairways are in good shape but the tee boxes are horrendous! You can't find a flat lie anywhere on them so you are teeing off with either a hook or a fade stance

The lady at the pro shop was very friendly. There were no problems with our 8:45 reservation. The course appeared to be maintained well. The ranger was friendly and gave us a quick, polite warning that other groups were behind us. We didn't think we were playing slow at all, but I appreciate that the ranger was friendly and didn't give us a long lecture like a ranger at a nearby golf course. For $25 per person, the price is very reasonable. I would definitely play golf here again.

Friendly, clean, food takes a long time, order when you arrive, ladies room clean, no air conditioning. Everyone having fun and no problems. Will definitely go back, wish the draft beer could be a little colder and it would be nice if they had a big grill outside with a grill master! Servers are fantastic and bartender really knows his stuff!

Huge upgrade since the last management. Bartender was fast and atmosphere was great. Too bad they are closing the course in April 2023. Greens are in pretty good shape but they are very small. Could use some TLC, but ok for the money.

Played for the first time today. Course was in good shape. Not too difficult, but decent layout. The greens were looking good and played true. Staff was really nice and handled a situation with some rowdy idiots playing behind us well. Would definitely play again.

Course was in pretty good shape. Nice layout but nothing that really stands out from other courses. Was pretty crowded on the weekend I played and golf ran slow, took our foursome almost 5 hours to get thru 18.

The greens have dirt all over them the fairways aren’t good the only thing good is the price I wouldn’t recommend anyone this course the photos on the website aren’t even comparable to it in real life and also half the sprinklers don’t work therefore make huge puddles. And to make everything about this horrible experience better we got sprayed on the 9th hole tee box and our clothes and clubs were soaked.

I have played here occasionally over the last 18 years. In June the course was in good shape, but not now in Sept. The starter, George, tried to put a guy (a smoker) in our twosome, but we declined adding a stranger to our match. So George put our twosome behind a foursome. When I questioned that, he said they "had the same tee time" and that "they won't hold you up." !?! We had to skip holes to get by them. The restaurant is closed for the season, the Lakes 9 is closed for the summer due to wetness, and the snack bar closed because the lessee didn't pay his rent. So there's no place for a pos…

The course itself is not good at all. Close to my house is why I’m writing my review, the course makes the neighborhood look BAD! The prices are extremely high for the amenities provided. Terrible clubhouse, never open when needed. The golf carts are the worst I have ever seen on a course anywhere I’ve ever played. Please upgrade the golf carts, if you cannot afford new ones buy used ones, any carts you get will be better than the ones you have, nothing works on them to standard. Oh, put a phone charger in the cart, pLeASE? Fire all those people that pretend to work there and hire new employee…

Great location. Only complaint is that the pro shop closes early too often. They're supposed to close at 6, but they often close at 4, so if you simply want to get to their driving range for an hour after work, you're out of luck. Very frustrating.

Greens and fairways were in good shape. Too many of the bunkers were washed out from the irrigation system some looked like they hadn't been groomed in a month. Staff was friendly. Play was slow due to the Sunday crowds. Definitely will play it again.
