Apollo Beach Golf Club receives praise for its friendly staff and enjoyable layout, featuring a challenging course with plenty of water hazards. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, pointing out issues with the greens, fairways, and overall upkeep. While some appreciate the reasonable pricing and wildlife sightings, others are disappointed by the inconsistent conditions and occasional slow pace of play.

Loved playing this course! Haven't played it in a good while due to COVID and school/work. But I always enjoyed playing this course! Always well maintained and the employees were always extremely nice and pleasant! The course is a nice area and I enjoyed being able to gold there. Unfortunately, its been temporarily closed for a while due to potential development and downsizing of the course. Really wish they don't down size. Love the course as it is and it would be unfortunate for it to become smaller. Hopefully it reopens soon at its full capacity!

Absolutely loved my experience! Young lady behind the counter saw that it was my first time to the course. She helped me out a lot and the starter was extremely friendly. Course was in amazing shape. Greens were perfect and omg were they quick today. I could not ask for better conditions and treatment. I will definitely be back with friends. Keep up the great work you guys!!

This was my first time on the course. I was just visiting. everybody was friendly. Very relaxed. Even though it was busy the day after Thanksgiving, the pace of play was reasonable. A little bit less than four hours. The greens were fast but fair. Fairways and tees were in good shape. There was a lot of water around, but I didn't feel like it was unreasonable. Hit my first ever hole-in-one. So, what's not to like about that.

I've played this course about 5 times since I moved here about 3 months ago. Great layout, one of the best in the area, great staff, good pace of play. The greens and fairways are pretty rough though, it would be a 5 if the greens were in good shape.

Nice layout but the course is in dire need of maintenance. I played this course 30 years ago and remember it as being excellent. Now the greens on the back nine are rough. All of the fairways are full of weeds and mowed way to short. Chipping and pitching to the greens is very difficult. Bunkers have no loose sand. Could be a fine course with some maintenance

A year ago the course was in a horrible condition. However I have heard from other golfers that it was "Okay" and "getting better". Although the greens we're better than the last time I played here the tee boxes are burnt and there is almost no fairway. The fairway is over taken by weeds and it is very hard to tell the difference between the rough and fairway. Also the staff yells at you when you try to skip a hole. Maybe I should give more info.. I payed to play 9 on a Saturday afternoon and was told I could go on the front or back. I decided on the front 9 and I turned the corner to hole…

Edit. 26jan20. Course is terrible shape. Price way too high for its conditions. From tees to greens. It really needs work. The layout and good just really needs work. It is not worth their price. The layout is great and challenging. However I have been here three times, each with months apart and each time has been a disappointment. Some how they need to display before booking online or with Golfnow that the greens are being worked on. The front 9 is out of order. They're aerating. Etc. If it was taken care of properly than it'd be a 4-5 star course.

We've played this course 3 times now and will probably play again. It's kind of a typical Florida course, lots of water, some trees and not very much elevation. In January it wasn't in the best condition but we still had a nice round. They will pair you up, even if it's not real crowded.

When I called the pro shop, they told me the course was in the best shape it's ever been in. I get to the course, pay $32.00 after 2pm to discover that the greens had been punched a couple of days ago and they had some temporary greens. Yes, we just had a storm come through, but be honest with the people! At least then I woud consider coming back. If I could give it a zero I would, just for the dishonesty.

Generally well-priced but the course can be crowded some mornings during peak season. For playability, there are some challenging holes and lots of water hazards but it's pretty flat and fairly easy to stay out of trouble throughout the course

Layout is pretty good.. some fun holes and fair difficulty. Problem is greens and fairways. Enough green though to move ball to a patch of grass or if putting move ball to a line with mostly grass. Price ok on a Hot Deal. A lot of wildlife especially birds. Great to see although I hit one via a screamer of a low drive. He survived but probably never fly again. Driving range by 6th hole so takes 5 minutes to drive to it.

Greens were very good but fairways were rough on some holes and pace of play was terrible. Took almost 5 hours to play 18 holes. Had a ranger on the front nine but never saw him on the back and the pace of play showed it.
