In summary

Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort is praised for its beautiful location, clean and comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff, with particular highlights including the scenic pool area and welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests have expressed concerns about outdated room conditions, limited dining options, and inconsistent service, particularly in the casino and bar areas. While many enjoy the amenities and natural setting, others feel the resort falls short in providing a comprehensive resort experience.

So I received 2 free nights at the casino and I'm greatly appreciated of it. Although the staff didn't seem very happy. No smiles, acted bothered when asked for something. Sat for an hour at one of the restaurant to get a piece of cake. Finally left because it wasn't happening. Slots are extremely tight and bonuses are hard to get. To put it into perspective we lost $300 in an hour betting extremely low. No in between pays to keep you playing. Food was good at the restaurants and place is very clean. Staff needs more customer service training and needs to look like they like their 👍 jobs

The service throughout the resort—front desk, spa, restaurants, casino, and bar—is truly impressive. The beds are comfortable, the water temperature in the showers is consistently hot, and the rooms are spotless. However, I couldn't enjoy the TV from my bed due to the room's layout. The food at Lakeside Grille left much to be desired; my New York strip steak was as tough as leather, the baked potato seemed reheated, and the chocolate cake was dry and flavorless. On a brighter note, Sheri, our waitress, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure we had a great experience…

We wanted to thank Candy and Lisa at the front desk for helping us change rooms after the first night of our stay. Our neighbors had different trip goals and Candy got us a complimentary breakfast and Lisa not only got our room switched but upgraded us to lakeside. It’s a beautiful location, the casino is clean and plenty of games were available, and the restaurants had delicious fare. The staff we interacted with were all lovely and welcoming.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable — a perfect place to unwind after a day of fun. The casino itself is great, with a lively atmosphere and even designated smoking rooms, which makes it convenient for everyone. There are several good food options on-site, with something for every taste — from casual bites to more upscale dining. The staff throughout the hotel and casino are friendly, helpful, and make you feel genuinely welcome from check-in to checkout. The pool is a highlight — it’s covered and heated but still offers a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, which mak…

Absolutely beautiful place. Room was clean, view of the roof and ac units was a bit odd since I paid for a Mountain View. But none the less it was very nice. The restaurant and breakfast were amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Nice relaxing visit with pool and casino entertainment

4 Stars because the pricing was a bit high for food/snacks and drinks. We thought 14$ for two large coffees was a bit much. Especially at other resorts where there's more to choose from "Starbucks" specifics and their prices are much less. Our room wasn't bad, but the bathroom was small and there was no door to close the shower which made for a wet floor when showering. Games were also a bit outdated and didn't have what other places have. Kind of disappointing as a first time visitor. Ladies bathroom also smelled like urine, so that was a turn away as well. One additional positive was the vie…

While the rooms are a bit outdated, the resort itself was wonderful and we had a great weekend. We also found it was cheaper to book directly with them than online, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was that they don’t always answer the phone, but once we arrived everything was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

First off I'm a decade long customer. It's sad to watch this place come to this. After booking another birthday vacation. I was refused suites upgrade saying they weren't available. The two night I stayed the place was completely dead. I was the only player on the table. Even though the host did comp my room. It was a terrible 3rd floor room. With staff slamming doors outside all night. I got no rest. The TV didn't work at all. No signal on the cable. Just a complete disaster. The gambling is horrible losing thousands a hr without even so much as a push. All reasons to not play at casinos that…

This was our first time at Rocky Gap and I have to say out of all the casinos I’ve been too, the guys who welcomed us once we walked in were so polite, friendly and gave us some information on where everything was located and had a smile on their faces. In this day and age it’s so nice to be greeted like that and to be able to laugh. This world needs more employees like them! Great job Rocky Gap! We had a great time! Now the trip back to Fairmont WV on 68…Holy snow and ice, praise the good Lord above my boyfriend was the driver!! lol

We went here for a weekend getaway. This is a nice place but lacks a lot of things that I usally see at a casino. This is a hotel with a casino attached. This is not a resort but is a nice hotel. There is no room service here. There is no convenience stop or store. No shops just the pro shop for the golf course. You will pay for alcoholic drinks. Water and soda are free. The food choices are limited and there is nothing very close by here. The jr suite we stayed in was clean and very nice. All the staff was nice and the food that we had was good. The casino is small but was not to busy. The ou…

The outside view is beautiful, the pool, hottub , and gym 5 stars , The room 2 stars the room definitely needs a renovation the floor to the bathroom was warped from water damage and the heater in the room sounded like it was about to break while making a very loud noise while running , the refrigerator was also ready to break as well it was a consent humming noise. The beds definitely needed to be replaced not comfortable at all and worn out. The rooms Also seem to not be very sound proof you could hear everything. So sleeping and relaxing was not ideal. Choice of food an places to eat within…

Spending hundreds of dollars on a room and even more at the casino and not being able to get a drink in a reasonable amount of time is a joke. If you expect people to sit there and gamble their money away, the bare minimum is having a bartender at the bar at all times. Waiting 15 minutes just to get a drink is unacceptable and frankly a disgrace for a casino. You’re happy to take my money, but can’t staff the bar properly? Do better.
